Turbo Dyno Results
Yesterday after work I decided to see what the car was putting down with allmotors turbo. Not to shabby and it has lots of room for more. This was with DYNOJET NOT DYNOPACK as allmotor and blue did, so numbers are lower. It should be noted that allmotor had the extruded honed manifold and bigger TB, I'm assuming he dyno'd it that way since he had those mods before he used this turbo.
Pretty much just plugged in his turbo and emanage and left the settings as they were. allmotor had a different map when he ran his numbers and I don't know what the differences are between the one I have and the other map he tuned.
This past week I removed the cat and resonator can and ran a 3'' exhaust to the comptechs out the rear. Sounds like a fart now and will put a resonator on in the coming weeks to quiet it down. I don't have the cutout on the vehicle at the moment so there is still some exhaust restrictions occurring. After that exhaust mod, my boost went from 6psi to a max of 6.5 and fuel pressure shot up a small amount.
I can't post the dyno chart untill sometime next week. The shop where I dyno'd was out of black ink and the rpm's and hp numbers did not show on the graph. They are going to send it to me then. I had it dyno'd at CarTek in Davie FL.
I made three runs. The first two runs were a 3rd gear pull and the final run was in 4th gear. I should have done all in 4th, but I learn as I go. The AFR was near perfect with 11.0, maybe a little rich, but that's safe.
The IMRC was disconnected and 93 octane pump gas was used. No detonation.
1st run= 3rd gear pull= 81.73F 21% humidity= 355.35HP / 286.26 torque
2nd run= 3rd gear pull= 79.92F 20% humidity= 355.15HP / 284.89 torque
3rd run= 4th gear pull= 79.37F 20% humidity= 364.31HP / 311.32 torque
I have video of runs if someone wants to host, their big files.

I thought it was better to pull in third than fourth. Why did you have better numbers in fourth ? Really nice numbers though, i think you currently have the most hp/tq in a cl.

One thing I forgot to mention- I checked the tell-tale on the boost guage after every run and the 3rd gear passes each came in at 6.5 lbs boost and the 4th gear pull came in at 6 lbs boost. I haven't a clue as to why it didn't boost up to 6.5 and didn't want to spend more money on another run.

Very nice. If you're going for big numbers, definitely get that cut-out in there. It's good for 30+whp! I am considering doing this so I can breach the 400whp mark.

the numbers seem about right. i doubt you can break 400 even with the cutout, unless you go to a dynopack. How much of a difference does it make? I used a dynojet 248c and the numbers disappointed a bit.
wait a sec., if you get thermoblok spacers in you might break over 400. runing street trim 400whp on a dynopack sounds like a mean monster! thats modded cobra territory, with more revs!

don't know how much the cutout will add since my stock resonator and cat are now removed. I'm sure their is still back pressure holding it down some. I don't recommend removing it as I have done, sounds like a fart can on the back of a ricer. It does carry a cool tone in the upper rpm ranges though.
Blue- got my eyes on your numbers.
So what is the real deal on the differences between the dynojet vs. dynopack?

getright- yeah, I thought that too about the engine rock, but no busted mounts as of yet. They all move that much I suspect.

that's what i figured, you know with a little incrimental umph b/c of your added hp's. i bet it's hard to stop staring at! have you been showing it to lot's of people? any shows in the near future ? it must be nice knowing you can blow the doors off alot of unsuspecting, high brow european cars!

Nice runs. I was expecting around 380whp, but you are just around that. The Dynojet vs. Dynapak probably accounts for about 15whp at the most. I am basing this on a G35C that dyno'd on the same dyno I did my initial runs at and followed-up the same day on a Dynojet. That difference was 8whp, so extrapolating to this kind of power range should be around 15whp.
There are a lot of subtle things you can do to increase power. My runs were at just around 6.0psi - its what you saw on the 4th gear pull. Running straight out
of the downpipe will help some. Throttle-body and other 'stuff' can extract another 25-25whp as well.
Bumping to 8psi will easily put you in the 400whp mark, but my recommendation is to get there without increasing the boost - let that be what gets you to 450 or even 500whp.
There are a lot of subtle things you can do to increase power. My runs were at just around 6.0psi - its what you saw on the 4th gear pull. Running straight out
of the downpipe will help some. Throttle-body and other 'stuff' can extract another 25-25whp as well.
Bumping to 8psi will easily put you in the 400whp mark, but my recommendation is to get there without increasing the boost - let that be what gets you to 450 or even 500whp.

Try leaning it out a bit also... might extract 5-10hp, but be very careful. I was running about 12.0:1 during the dyno pulls, and back to 11.0:1 for daily driving. I don't have that map as I was just fiddling with it on the dyno.

I spoke with the dyno shop today, and he promised me he would send the dyno graph out. should get it tomorrow.
I'm going to experiment with the AFR and lean it a bit for the next time I go. 12.0, that sounds a little lean, but it worked ok for you? I thought that 11.0 was ideal. How did you determine how much fuel to pull, trial and error or some percent value? what is your thought on using like pure methonal for the amquist injection?
The purple box didn't work and it's back at you know where for an adjustment. Should be ok once we get it back, but it may not work with the emanage, have to wait and see. When you made your pulls, did you have the imrc dissconnected? Let me get this straight about the imrc. When it is disconnected, the air is travelling the long way. Correct?
I'll be back with some bigger numbers in January, definitley more to come with this as this is one hellofa fun toy. Waxed a run of the mill 04 vette on the turnpike the other day. One hellofa sleeper. cheers everyone

I never disconnected the IMRC at any time. I think 12.0:1 is okay for the dyno, but not for
daily driving where the load condition changes... use 93-octane or above when adjusting to 12.0:1.
100% methanol for aquamist is okay, but you need to tune it for that as well... if you are not detonating now, the methonol (or water) is not doing anything. Inject water/methanol and set timing to 0-degrees retard. Then raise boost and see what happens. I was not successful with increasing the boost... but it might be different on your car.

Hey Serge, glad to see your still lurking around. This is the stock 3.2. How goes your motor and the new emanage? Any word on that yet?

The block is fine, however seems due to high CR with 8psi blew the rear head gasket

As far as EU, the plan is to play with it again before Xmas.
Now, I have everything needed except the experienced tuner, but want to see if it reads the values and just use the basic map. I'll post the results asap.

Probably using the old support tool, haven't checked for updates, using the original blue emanage.

Looking at your dyno, torque drops crazy after 4K rpm up to 5. I had the same situation before with J32, until I lean it out up to high 11s and it worked great with flat torque. Otherwise looks good. I'm sure now you have a zero traction in 1st and 2nd gear with a decent launch, barking tires left and right
. You can also gain some more HP up top with conservative timing retard modifying on dyno only.
Dan, I use v1.13/1.39 on E-Manage, upgrade from original v1.11/1.25. I noticed there is new v. available with 1.25a/1.48, however have not played with it yet.

I'm actually using the 1.25a and 1.48 ones. They work good so far. At least on my new unit they do.

hey i see you got the dyno done in davie fl. i assume you live in south florida and so do i. i was wondering if you would consider getting together b/c i wanted to do the supercharger pretty soon but if this thing is as worth it as you make it out to be i might save a little more and go for the turbo. let me know if you'd be down.

After looking at the graph more closely, that torque drop seems to take place right when the IMRC is suppose to open, 3800 rpm. I had the IMRC disconnected. The guy your getting your head studs from is going to give it a tune soon, then we'll see what it's really got.
Andres- just hit me up with a pm sometime, Fridays are usually good and I sometimes frequent the car show at the Tower Shops.
