Not anymore, I had an '01 CL-S but traded it in last July for the 6-Speed. Those plots are from different dates, the red is from August and the blue from Saturday.

Both runs have Comptech Headers and AEM pullies. The differences are as follows; the old one had an modiffied AEM AV6 intake. The new had the AEM intake swapped for a custom intake along with the Mugen T-Stat and Fan Switch and I hand polished the intake manifold..

Scalbert,

Any idea what happened to your torque curve after 6,600rpms on run 9?

Also, what gear did you dyno in?

Thanks for posting your dyno chart.

I suspect that drop is in the ECU map, Honda pulled back timing before the shift.

I pulled in 3rd which has always made the best numbers. I thought 4th would be the best gear for the pulls. I'm going back to another shop very soon to validate these numbers.

I want to get my 330 dyno'd in another 1,000 miles or so (When I at 5,000 miles), so I'm trying to find out what the consensus is for the best gear to dyno in a manual...

5th Gear in the 330 is a 1:1 but I'd hit the speed limiter before I finished a pull and the engine would probably build up way too much heat going WOT from 2,000 in 5th gear.

When you dyno your car do you run your data logger at the same time?

Thanks!

You should dyno with the 5th if it is 1:1.

And why you would hit the the speed limiter in 5th? what is the max speed of the 5th?
You can run OBD-II scanner while dynoying...

Just make a couple of pulls in 3rd and 4th to see which gives the best number. Yes, 5th would take you past the speed limiter which is 137 from what I recall on the 3-series; at least that is what I beleive it is on my wife's E46 328i.

I was logging data at the time, never exported it though. However, I was only monitoring ECT, IAT and MAP at the time.

Could you point me to any threads you may have already started concerning the data logger you use?

I'm looking for how it much its costs ($200-$300?) and where to buy it from.

Thanks for the info Scalbert!

The one I use is only $129 less the laptop, but I have been unable to get it to work on my wife's BMW. It should work but doesn't.

Thanks for the info.

I tested out there demo of the software. The user interface is a little out dated but seems pretty feature rich as far as the options you have to work with. It just sucks it only uses a fixed resolution and not any larger if you maximize the window.

Have you called them to see why it doesn't work for the BMW?

I primarily want it for the Accord but it would be nice to use it for the 330 too.

I had a few email correspondences with Alex Pepper, the developer of the software, and he was stumped. I tried various settings and sent him log files with no luck. But considering the price and it worked with the CL I wasn't too worried.

I doubt there would be someone to call, it appears Alex is on his own, a one man show.
