dyno results

This is what i am working with: 01 CLS with injen intake, xs headers, spacer kit. I put down 212hp and 196tq. I am not worried about the tq, but the hp number seems a lil low. What do ya think? I do have 18inch wheels, don't know if that is even a factor. My air fuel ratio is way lean with a 17.1 reading when i think it should be around 12-13, correct me if i am wrong there. I may just have to get a neo and tune the air fuel to 13 and be done with it. The guy at the dyno shop said if we can tune the car right he can get 20whp out of it because the air fuel is so off. In my opinion anyone who has at least I/H should get a dyno and check their air/fuel ratio to make sure its close to 13, could be losing hp. The guy also strongly recommended getting the hks f con. Need everyones input here!!!

Something is wrong with your car. AF should not be that high with bolt ons. There's nothing to adjust it but the stock ECU. Either the dyno was off or the car is screwed up.
What type of dyno, & what gear did you dyno in?

I do have an automatic also, it may be the dyno. It was not a dyno jett, my friend has a civic hatch with a b20 and only put down 269whp running 14lbs of boost. He was thought it was off too, but who knows. Are you telling me with my car running so lean that is not why i have such low numbers?

Or you can take a photo of it (close up) and image host it. Was it by chance a Mustang dyno (which tend to measure lower than Dynojets)? If that's the case, the HP would look about right but the tq would be unusually high. If it was a Dynapack, both those numbers are way below average.

I have to look into that actually, the shop i went to was mainly for muscle cars.

I'm saying either your car or the dyno is busted. There's no way your a/f should be that high with only bolt on mods. The stock ecu will only adjust a slight amount. To get that high of an A/f you'd have to have some sort of ECU programming, or something is broken.
What gear was the dyno done in? For the auto it should have been 3rd gear. Not left in D.

I think it was a mustang dyno, i may have to find a dyno jett and jump on that. The apexi neo will not correct that air fuel ratio?

The printout should state what type of dyno it was. And yeah, you have an A/F issue, can't be tuned out w/ a Neo...the correction is too great. Your tq numbers shouldn't be that close to your hp numbers w/ your mods.

I did do a 3rd gear pull in ss mode. And on the print out it does not say what kind of dyno it is.

do you have the ability to try a different dyno? to be running in the 17s, you would almost certainly throw a lean bank code. it's possibly the place you went isn't getting proper readings. dynos are very finicky.
