DYNO RESULTS--2003 CLS-6 with APEXI NEO-- Great #'s
Well went and put down some numbers today. And some pretty F'in good numbers and gains if I must say.
Before: 237whp 208tq
After: 242whp 212tq
Im pretty impressed. I have the dyno video and dyno chart I will be posting asap. It was a dynojet dyno as well. Were the vtec was kicking in I was dropping power, but then they tuned and made ajustments and its all gain now. They said the differance between the drop in power when vtec engaged before and after was at least, if not more then 30hp across the whole rpm range.
For being a mile above sea level this is great... Dont have traction through 1st and 2nd but hey, what can you do...
So are these #'s one of, if not the highest #'s you guys have see for a N/A?
Chime in, tell me what you think. And my mods are in my signiture.

They are a little low, you dyno'ed only 7 more whp than me and we have the same mods but you have spacers. I want to see your dyno sheet with the AFR on it also.
I have an auto.

In the graph im showing the same huge power gap that your describing. It shows the IMRC not working and then the NEO being tuned to compensate for it.

What im trying to say is if you have plenty of bolts on the your peak hp numbers with the IMRC working/not working will be decievingly close, but if you feel like the torque isn't there then thres always that possibility.
Just post up your dyno I want to see whats going on

You know what I did noticed. I think they changed the vtec to engage right at 5000rpm. Then there is a jump in power it feels like. Maybe if I put that back a default then there will be more power through out the whole range?!?!?!?
How do I do that If that is a good idea?

Its engaging and staying open when held over a certain rpm range. But if you guys say its broke then Ill buy one.
You have had those same codes???? I just unpluged the negative to my battery to see if it will come back on.

Even though the IMRC is opening can that mean that it is broken in the way of it will be on then off then on like what you said typer. Would replacing it stop that?
And this might be a stupid question. But is the IMRC the only thing that has to do with the vtec system? Cause on my neo my vtec controls say High Low 4600 and Low High 4000. I dont know if thats bad or not, but it just seems like a get bursts of power and then somethimes I wont.

Sounds like they changed your vtec point.. either way you need to doule check your NEO wiring, from the dyno your base run indicates your IMRC is not opening at 3800 rpm. And they tuned the neo to compensate for that. First things first, you should change your IMRC and put a new one in. Than bring it back to the tuner and have them re-dyno your car. Because if your IMRC wasn't working and than you get a new one your tune is going to be off and you could run really lean which in turn could damage your engine. Fried piston rings ftl. BTW dont mash on it when you get your new IMRC, just bring it straight to the tuner. DONT MASH!

What did I say about your IMRC
As for VTEC changing theres also a VTEC unmatch that is a compensation taken for changing VTEC which basically adds more fuel.
Doesn't seem like they new how to wire it up that well, had the same problem at first...sigh.
At one point my IMRC was opening up backwards haha.
When I had the same problem I would also misfire from time to time, but that was also because the guy leaned it out too much.
Also try running your car in 6th gear from 50mph up and see how smooth the powerband is

And I checked the vtec unmatch and there both a 0% if i remember right. So that means they didnt mess with that. What does yours say.
So I def need a new IMRC??? Because Ive tested it and I dont want to spend the money if I dont have to. But I did notice it might not be opening all the way, but pretty much there.
And thanks again for all them help so far guys.

Seems like you guys need to do your NEO install yourselves. I don't have any IMRC issues
Take a picture of your wiring harness neversummer so I can take a look.

If the VTEC Hi/Lo is 4600/4000, that means VTEC is kicking in at 4600 of course. You do need to mess with the VTEC unmatch, if not then even though the cam will changeover, the ecu will not recognize it and will not adjust a/f accordingly. For your mods and 6MT it seems the numbers should be maybe 5-10 higher on both. The speedo is 200-300 off, if you go to the rpm display it will show a max rpm of 6900 or 6999 can't remember which. So although VTEC normally kicks at 4800, it looks like 5000. I am actually going right now to autozone before school to check if I am throwing any codes. I know when I had the vtec controller hooked up, sometimes it would throw CEL and kick in rev limiter at 5500, and limit power as well. I'll check this thread later tonight. Check that IMRC, I might be in the same boat. Good luck.

Hey guys im currently waiting for the money to get a tune with my NEO, and i was wondering if an improper tune could make the IMRC go bad, or make me throw any codes, and if so what are some things i could tell the guys to avoid / advice for giving me a proper tune. Oh yea.. how would you change the IMRC? is it hard? thanks a lot in advance.

Let me jump on the newbie train and ask a few untrained questions. IMRC stand for?
Also, the NEO seems like a very efficent mod. How hard is the install? Im very interested in one of these jaspers.
