CLS 01 234whp N/A

Info on car: keep getting CEL for torque converter, 2 days ago got misfire codes

Info on dyno: Dynojet, temp was mid 50s, ran 4th gear pull prior to these pulls before i told him it was 3rd gear, 15 mins in between pulls

New dyno coming in a month or two: mugen mods need to be installed, finishing my exhaust, more importantly i will be pulling out my VSA, one of these days ill be getting a tune

Pull 1: 227 hp / 196.4 tq
Pull 2: 234.1 hp / 192.8 tq

my tranny slips 1st, i'm getting a new one soon, i think this is an issue with putting torque down, this summer is coming the 3.5L build, by these numbers i think hp will be up in 260s easily

link to graph

i think 230 with boltons is nice, just a little disappointed with torque.

^ you might be right. that dip from 4200 to 6200rpm doesn't look normal.
just do a really quick test and have someone rev the car while you watch the IMRC.

You have one exotic 01'. Mine with almost the same mods except a tb and a working imrc only put down 215hp and 186tq on a 75 degree day. Plus with a working trans. thats GREAT I wish mine did that.

Really...that looks like a pretty standard torque curve to me.

viewing other dynos and coming to the conclusion that my TQ is way too low for the HP i'm making, plus i revved the engine multiple times and saw no movement from IMRC, i personally think my TQ should be somewhere near 210.

How come I put more HP than you and have about the same mods without the UR Pulley....seems like my dyno is inaccurate

It will be interesting to see how big of a difference the IMRC actually makes. Keep us posted.

FYI, my '03 TL-S put down 239.8 fwhp with intake, headers, spacers and pulleys. Still running stock exhaust.

Type-S is supposed to make peak torque from 3500-5500 RPM. That dip at just before 4500 RPM (which is coincidentally where the IMRC is supposed to activate the secondary intake tract) is not normal for these cars.

Hehehehe...oh yeah....he wont gain anymore torque...what'll happen is that loss of torque will rise and flatten out....

not entirely true, that huge drop in TQ resulted in a lower final number, i think once i get the IMRC fixed i will see more torque and horsepower.

Nice runs. I'm surprised you couldn't feel the power loss before with out the IMRC on.

Did the miss firing started right after you fix the IMRC?

new spark plugs are on the way, new ignition coils sitting waiting to be installed. i think those are the source of my problems.

yes, i replaced the actuator, plugs, coil packs, and retorqued a few things. overall acceleration is much smoother. haven't got back to the dyno. i'm waiting for comptech to send me some parts so i can remove my VSA, then i'll hit the dyno.
