Venom 400

It's a signal modifyer, like a crude Apex AFC tuner or a chip. It's differes from a chip, in that it runs in-line of the PCM. So it SHOULD work on any car that they offer it for. I just wanted to know if anyone had installed one and was pleased.

I'll probably go with Diablo... if they make one for a '98 CL four-banger like mine. The Diablo is custom-tuned for whatever mods you have. You tell them what you've done, like UD pulley, and they custom program for that. They've had great success with Ford's ZX2.

Diablo Chips

Upon looking a little, I should check into it more, just don't have the time here at work, I believe that they are for domestic cars only. Check it out:

According to their webpage, they make chips fro Ford, GM and Dodge - specializing in trucks.

Nice idea, but they do not seem to do anything for Acura.

Diablo Chips

I believe you're right. I have a Ford and they do a great job on Ford PCMs.

In any case, I beleive that I'd rather drop in a chip instead of a daisy-chain between the stock programming and the sensors. The link is just one more cause for error.

I agree a drop in chip is much preferred. Is there anyone out there with experience with drop in chips for an 01' S type. Any experience?
Good or Bad?
Pity Hondata doesn't do anything for us!

Chip installation

They are a breeze to install. Done it on many different cars. I'll be looking into chips too and will post any positive results.

I have a '98 CL, but if they make 'em for that, they'll most likely have 'em for most Acuras.
