Zfx review

Did a wash and Zfx treatment today. FYI, 2 ounces is NOT the entire bottle! It's about 80% of the bottle so don't fill it all the way up with z2. The zfx is a blue color. 10 drops for 2 ounces and shake for 90 seconds then your set.

Well, when you mix the ZFX and the z2 nothing really happens in the bottle so you won't be sure anything really happened. However, when you apply the mix to the paint. It dries FASSST. I used a bit more on the pad than i should've and managed to get 2 coats out of one bottle. The look? Fantastic!!!!!!!!! The gleam really start to come out after the 2nd coat. I know if had done the 3rd then i would've
seen some amazing results. Now it was already dark by the time i got the second coat off so i can't say how the 1st looked.

Now i usually apply z1 and z2 every time i wax and I didn't this time because there isn't a need with zfx. So that's why i think the first coat didn't look so good. Hmmm. Well more test will be needed.

Removal is really easy We'll have to see if it really makes that big of difference or not. I want to see that one coat of normal z2 and one coat of zfx will look the same. If they do, then i'm sold. Otherwise i'll stick with the zaino.

i wonder if there's a way to cover the Zaino mixed with ZFX to slow the aging process so that u're not rushing to get the 3 coats on using something like cling wrap...can anyone shed some insight on this???

I don’t understand the question.
After mixing, it’s supposed to be good for like 6-hours in the mixing bottle.
And you have up to 10-hours to clean the bottle out with soap & water or it is ruined.

You really need to get some my fellow Z-Buddy.

ok...what im saying is just like leftovers for dinners, i wonder if u can "save" the leftover Zaino...like stick some cling wrap around the bottle and put it in the fridge for a week and do it again...catch my drift??

You’re only mixing like ONE or TWO ounces at a time.
It’s not like you’re throwing away ½ the bottle or something.

I haven’t wasted ANY mixed product yet.
If I have some left, I just do another coat on the hood, wheels or front bumper to use it up.
You can NEVER have too much there.

if you mix only 1/2-1 ounce (2 to 3 drops of ZFX) you will be able to use it all in one coat.

mixing really is not a big deal.

i never even wash the bottles cuz I will just go to a craft store to buy more 2 ounce bottles when im out of em.

mixing really is not even an issue with this stuff scooter... you blow it out of proportion!

the only downside to ZFX is you will become COMPLETELY addicted to Zaino, spending day after day wanting to put more coats on the bish.

I've got 9 coats on in the last 3 days. lol.

add the appropriate amount of ZFX for those 12 oz.

mix

splash 3 coats on...put rest away for next week...take out next week...put 3 more coats on...put away...repeat until out of mix

straight from the Zaino Website

"Note: Apply no more than three coats of Zaino Show Car Polish enabled with ZFX™ in a 24 hour period. For optimum results, use your ZFX™ enabled polish within 6 hours of mixing. Use a fresh cotton buffing towel for removal of each coat.

Note: When you are finished polishing, wash the mixing bottle inside and out with a heavy concentration of liquid dishwashing detergent and thoroughly rinse. The ZFX™ mixing bottles cannot be reused if the polish remains in the bottle for more than 12 hours. After 12 hours, it is not possible to completely clean the mixing bottle. Throw the mixing bottle and any unused polish contents away after 12 hours."

yes i can read which is y i am asking stupid questions like "is it possible to prolong the life of the mix"...if it's b/c of the air mixing with the product, maybe it is possible to save a batch for a day or 2...as far as the mixing bottles go, since i was attacking this issue on a large scale (large meaning taking a whole bottle of Z2), i was going to use somethin like a big Rubbermaid bowl or whatever plastic mixing bowl that can hold that much...fact is im lazy and don't wanna measure and mix every time i do it LOL

Scooter,

The answer is NO, you can’t do that.
THERE are you happy....Someone finally answered the original question.

Yes, I admit the whole measuring and mixing step needs to add extra time to a day of waxing.
It adds probably a whole 20-seconds to mine.
And maybe another minute of shaking the bottle.

There’s nothing to it really.
Shake up the BIG Z-2 or Z-5 bottle.
Open the small mixing bottle.
Squirt it halfway full and add 4-5 drops of ZFX.
Shake and you're DONE !!!!!!

Of course it saves all that time and MUCH MUCH MUCH more by not waiting for the Z-1, Z-2 or Z-5 to dry.
By the time I’m done applying it to the last body panel, the first one is DRY and ready to be wiped off.

Actually, I do suggest avoiding trim, etc when using Z5... the stuff can leave a chalky white residue.

Z2 however... go over whatever u want.
