My one friend bought one new back in 86 and it ran 100,000 PLUS trouble free miles.

That used to be my baby for about 10 years until I upgraded within the family. It was a white special edition though. It was a fun car.

I like those integra's, especially how you didn't have to push the clutch pedal down to start it.

I remember those cars, back in College I had a modded....gulp...87 Escort GT...LOL I think my license plate bracket read.....MR2s for Breakfast, GTIs for Lunch, and Integras for Dinner. ahhh, the memories. The 1st gen Tegs would run mid 16s, and I never lost to them, but then again, hardly anyone modded the Tegs back then, and I was one of the few to mod the non-turbo Escorts.

Thanks for the flashback, and making me feel old, some of you were in diapers in 87? I'm getting freaking old!!!!!

Yup!! Use to drive an 88 Integra LS. Put 276k miles. Sold to a college friend going to NC State, and who knows how miles he put on it by now.

There were no body mods for it, so instead I went under the hood. I put a short ram and headers & exhauts. That's all I needed at the time. That 1.6 DHOC has decent power.

240z with a six-pack was my dream car in HS.
