you guys do LOVE your CL's right?

or are you pining away for a bimmer or an audi?
man--after reading thru the entire faq and the forums and hearing everything bad about the cl paint, trans, rims, radio, cd player, rattles, humms, lack of power...it makes me wonder ..you guys do LOVE your cars right? Does anyone just love the car right out of the box before 2k worth of mods? Just wondering...

yea I love my CL... bimmers and audis have just as many problems...

and honestly... this is my third current generation Acura... and I still havent had any real problems

I love my car... the only thing I hate about it is not knowing whats next from Acura... I wish they would clue people in.

But yea, I love my car... speed... style... luxury... and its not costing me all my limbs. (just an arm & a leg )

I love the car. It hasn't given the fam one single problem except for a broken fog(If you can call it that) light.

IMHO going on discussion boards like this for cars makes the problems seem much worse than they are. I would bet most of theese problems are only affecting a small amount of cars.

The CL-S is one of the best values out there...and if you have no problems what is not to love?!

Yea....every car's going to have its' issues, and that's why a forum, such as this, gives people a place to get suggestions and ideas about proper auto care and enhancing ideas. Every car can be enhanced via the aftermarket world. That's why I read. I've learned more about cars here than I have anywhere else, to be honest. I love my car and plan to put a mod here and a mod there, just to enrich what Acura has already provided. Very happy with my purchase and would make the same exact purchase if I had to do it over.

Ever heard of "Compulsive Complaining" ? You know, people that ALWAYS find something to complain about ? Get it ??????? We have a few here !

The BEST car I've owned. I've bought Honda's since 1984 to present.

Go figure !

Like, yes. Love, no. This girl has done me wrong too many times. I knew we'd only last for a couple of years before we broke it off in April 2002, but I'm ready to leave her now. Her German friends are very sexy and I'm more tempted to cheat with every passing day.

"It's not you, baby. I'm just not into the FWD anymore."

I DO love the color. I DO love the interior. I DO love the value for the dollar, but her soul is tarnished and fading...

Wassss uppp guys! I love my Cl-S, It's probably the best investment I ever made so far... I looked at the BMW 330, It's nice It's really not worth the extra 5-7 grand... My CL-S is bone stock except for a Comptech drop-in and Polarg M6.... For It's comfort, exceptional power and luxury, you can't beat it for the price...

Yes, I love my car!!! I was out of town on business for the past two days and had to drive a piece of S*%# Buick for two days. I have never appreciated my car more than last night when I got to the airport and was doing 120mph down I-85 in atlanta in no time!!!! I agree with a previous post, performance, speed, luxury ect. and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg!!!

I spent a few months test driving every car I would consider buying, IS300,325,330,A4,CL/CLS,TL/TLS, etc. Read almost every magazine article/review about them. Did some serious thinking since we know we are going to get 2 at the same time(yes a budget of up to $80k total depending on what car we pick). After months of considering, we decided on the CL and both me and my sis love our cars. Only regret I might have is not getting the navi, other than that, if I had a chance to go back and pick a car again, I would pick the CL again. After a few mods, it would make the car even better.

I love my car. BUT if I knew then what I know now I probably would have bought something else. I want to start autox'ing and road racing and that's not the CLs strong point. Still, a great car and I'll probably keep it and buy something else to race with.

So far very good

I'm very happy with it so far w/ 1000 miles on it (5000 total, 1000 mine). I think the car's great and I get lots of compliments on it. People think it's a sweet car and I agree. Inside is great. I just installed silver cast iron racing pedals and they look great as does my Type S shoulder pads. All in all, the interior is a REALLY sporty look. Not luxurious, but really super nice sporty coupe look. I like the fact that the outside is sporty yet very incognito. I still love cruising out of the light. Great. Did I say great?

I'll be totally honest with you... I love my car. Yes, it's a TL-S and not a CL-S... but close enough.

I'll even be more honest with you... my next car is either a Lexus GS430 or a BMW M series (3 or 5), depending on how much $$ I have in about 5 years!! Although.. if Acura keeps beefing up the TL.... I'll stay with that!! I just want a lot more power, but maybe the 2006 TL will have 450hp or something!!

I LOVE MY CAR!

Knowing everything I know after owning the car for 1 year and 9 months I wouldn't hesitate to make the same decision again!

And people love this car. Two of my friends have picked one up after riding in mine and they LOVE them too.

There's a tendency toward the negative here sometimes. Remember, you tend to hear more from people when they're upset, and less from them when their satisfied. IMHO that's what causes the negative bias on this board.

This is by far the best value in its class.

This car is a pain in the neck. My head snaps back every time I hit the throttle, and people are getting whiplash trying to get a second look when I roll by. I love this freakin car. It sounds so sick, and I havn't even got cai yet.

The fact that you have thousands of cl owners posting on this site means you are going to see lots of info both good and bad. I try not to let the bad ish rain on my parade, I feel bad for those who are having major problems. But there are also those who love to bitch, those who abuse or don't know how to take care of their car.

The grass is always greener for some, just not quite as green as it is here in Oregon....... suckers.

I'll agree with the consensus of others.... I love my car! Picked the right color (although I would rather have tan interior over the black.) Other than that, great bang for the buck.

I went into this purchase with the mindset of another Accord (my previous car was an y2k Accord SE sedan.) Just needed more power, and luxury. I was "this" close to getting another Accord sedan (EX, of course) and decided to check Acura. My mind told me to look at TLP's, but my youthfull heart said CLS.

Guess what I ended up with!

No regrets. Other than I'd have loved to have got a TLS, they just would not budge on the sticker price. So I decided to go with my baby (still adjusting to a coupe.) Really a great car for the money.... Rock solid Honda engineering and build quality. Might not be up there with BMW, and Lexus, but those cars were not (and still are not) an option for me.

I knew i loved it when i drove off the lot for the test drive and had the salesman grabbing for the "Oh Shit " handle !! The mods have only made it better and more fun. Some people will always be unhappy.

What's bad about the cd player? Lack of power?

When I flew out on vacation, after 8 days I started thinking...
Man, I miss my car....

Its not bad, my insurance is about $5000 a year, my sis is less since she doesnt have 2 accidents like i did. My parents' are normal I guess. I am the only high one in the family. I never actually asked what our whole family pay in total but I would guess $5000(mine)+$3000(sis,maybe)+$2000(dad, maybe)+$2000(mom,maybe). about $12k a year?? I might be wrong, but that doesnt sound bad, it sounds normal I guess.

Normal??? Obviously, you're high on drugs. I live in MA where insurance is in the same ballpark as NJ and that 5K is INSANE!!!! I think maybe your other family members must be lower than your estimate because I pay 1150 per year, and I'm sure your parents are older than me. I think it would be safe to say that your folks are paying about a grand per year. OUCH...sucks to be your parents!!!!

It's so funny when I read a post like this one. Yes, you are going to read a lot of complaints and belly aching when you come to this site or any other site that is dedicated to one specific car model. I personally have not had any major problems with my CLS other than the sunroof squeak. Also, I know that BMW and Audi's have their own problems and issues with their cars. As it's been said here many times no car is absolutely problem free. If I had to do things all over again I would not hesitate to buy the CLS again. The price, comfort, luxury, and sportiness of the car is what drew me in the first place and my opinion has not changed.

I owned a 97 Acura CL 3.0 and it's the main reason why I decided to buy another Acura. The car was almost flawless even after 4 pretty significant accidents(none which were my fault).

Yup, I LOVE IT. Its been 18months and 20K miles of pure fun. Wasn't looking at Acura when I started out but will be going back to them for the first crack at my next car (but they shouldn't hold their breath - it will be awhile). The car's performance is stock and I have had only two problems: the seat not returning after a passenger gets out and the air bag sensor malfunctioning. It still amazes me how many more compliments this car gets than my former Lexus. Its just the right combo of luxury and performance.

Great Car!

Even though I haven't had the car since before Thanksgiving (Tranny's getting replaced) I would still buy the car again. I think it is a great car that is fast, and exceptionally comfortable.

I just hope that the new transmission doesn't fail...but Acura seemed to indicate to me that they had fixed some faulty component in the transmission so the new one shouldn't fail.

I'm still stuck in this Integra LS...the worst part is that it's starting to feel fast!

I get my car back on Tuesday!!!!
