You go Hyundai!!!

Anyone who underestimates Hyundai will be making every bit as big of a mistake as the Big Three that underestimated the japanese 20 years ago. Hyundai isn't another Honda or Toyota but they are well on their way. If they could bring their resale values up just a little bit more, they'd be kicking ass and taking names.....

2003 Hyundai Tiburon
available 2.7L V6 (approx 180hp), 6 speed manual, 17 inch wheels/tires, dual exhaust

I LOVE the look of this car. IMHO, this is a far far far more attractive car than the RSX, Prelude, Celica or Eclipse could ever hope to be.

It's not bad at all, it even got a shark gill styling on both side. Correct me if I'm wrong is Tiburon means shark in English right...

I believe they are technically bankrupt. Just like Daewoo. I know they have gazillions in debt! A bunch of guys I know from Toyota went over to Hyundai when they first started in this country a little more than 16 years ago. The problem with Korean companies versus Japanese companies is the Korean companies are the worst examples of nepotism in the world. Everyone is family. Japanese companies are all common stock with shareholders to answer to. As a matter of fact, most Japanese companies own each others stock.

I have to say ... not bad ... hard to tell if interior is quality, but I like the exterior look a whole lot -- especially in the front.

Hyundai's are PHAT looking these days...

In their lineup they have an S-Class, a GS, and LS400.

Thats not to mention their lil RSX fighter there...

I have not heard anyone with something bad to say about the looks of a new Hyundai.

Hey...the car is actually really nice. At the Miami Car Show they had them open for people to sit in. Really nice looking interior. Its alot nicer then I expected a Hyuandi to be. IMO Its pretty cool.

If Hyundai starts to make great designs, people will buy them like they are going out of style!! Just think a few years back when no one wanted a Dodge Ram Truck, or who wanted a Mitsubishi Starion...then they made the eclipse! Good designs will make people buy despite car companies reputations....Americans are suckers for looks.....look at the PT Cruiser...underpowered but looks great. BTW when Hyundai starts to sell a ton of cars watch that 10 year warranty go bye bye!

The point was that most people buy a car if it "looks" good...so design a good looking car and most people will buy it regardless.

I think that looks really nice, only thing I don't like are the two circular vents right in the middle, similar to I think the Pontiac Grand Am or Grand Prix, not sure which one. Those would bother me but it looks cool. It sort of looks like the OSV Alero Coupe that was supposed to come out like 2004 or 2005 if Olds kept making cars. That thing was gonna be pimp, they were gonna use the V8 300hp Northstar engine from the Caddy's in the OSV Alero which is only 3050pounds. They said they had one run mid 5's to 60.

best looking new car

Glad someone brought this up....it's an exciting looking car. Reminds me a little of Italian vintage cars. Now for some power and I'll buy one in a minute.

I saw this car at the SF auto show a couple of weeks ago. It looks even better in person that in the pictures. Nicely styled.

i think they should have left it called the Tuscani like everywhere else.. check: http://tuscani.hyundai-motor.com/tuscani/intro.html
As the tuscani it doesn't even wear a hyundai badge..
knowing americans they wont get it because its a 'hyundai'..
slap on a awd system a turbo 4 from their rally car then shezam..

I had a Hyundai years ago and it was a solid little car.Granted it lacked power but for the money it wasn't a bad car.Certainly better than the domestics. The new Tiburon is an interesting piece of work especially considering the car can be had with a 6 cylinder and a manual gearbox. The car's looks are good ,could very well be that Hyundai is coming into it's own.Jens

Tiburon is absolutely a girls car. It is about as masculine as a VW Cabriolet.

Let me be the first to say.... you're an idiot!! If you would have said the "current" Tiburon, I might have refrained myself.

Well... then maybe not. To compare even the current Tiburon with the Cabrio is still idotic at best. But this new Tiburon is a beautiful car. Here's a dollar... go buy yourself a clue
