Not weird at all. That's what happens if you live by the ocean or if you barge your car anywhere. Mine was/is so bad that even the seat bolts on the interior are rusted. My car was barged and lives by the ocean. Double whammy I'm slowly changing cleaning things so can't really tell much anymore.

You live in Hawaii. You're not allowed to complain.

My rotors look almost like that on Monday mornings (if it rains and I haven't used the car on sunday)...

As to the condition of the engine bay... With 80,000 plus miles on it, that doesn't suprise me...

Do they put salt on the roads in the winter in CO ??

THe car on ebay doesn't look that bad for an east coast car w/ 80k on it that was driven during the winter...

Wow, I didn't realize how common this is. Mine doesn't look like this at all. When I used to work at the dealer, I used to see used cars like this from time to time and I always stayed away from them.

They don't put straight salt on the roads here. They use a sand/salt mixture but it has very little salt in it. They do however, use a Mag Chloride stuff that's sprayed on the highways to prevent freezing. Now that stuff sucks!

I just noticed the rotors with the first look, but now I see the calipers are rusted too...

Yep, it might be a flood car... Hopefully the damage will come up on carfax...
