Are you F'ing kidding me......

So I was out today and got bumped from the back again.
2nd time in like the last few months.
You got to be kidding.
Looks like I'll be seeing some paint really soon.
this is the type of stuff that always holding me back from modding.
I didn't take the best pics ,the top of the bumper has paint cracks all over.

If it's just paint cracking, all you need is a repaint. If the bumper itself is cracked...well, that's why we have insurance! Make sure you call the other party's insurance ASAP.

Sorry.

Yea, you shouldn't be paying for anything.

And usually you get something in the mail about your registration.

Yea,The girl could not find her stuff I could not find mine.
when the police were on the way I seen my reg needed to be renewed.
So I sent her on the way grabing her name, address, phone, plate,dl #.
The cop showed up after she left I told him what happen he said he can't make a report because I told her it was fine to leave.
I called my insurance when I got home and their doing all the figuring everything out.
They said if their any problem getting them to pay ,my insurance will pay for it.
First thing in the morning I will be at the registry.
So when the adjuster looks at the car,he not like wtf when he see's the stickers.

Here in NC, if you owe property taxes on any of your vehicles, you won't get a renewal though the mail until you pay the taxes. Also, don't forget, you'll need to have the state inspection renewed (smog test) before you can get the plate stickers. They changed that last year. Inspection first, then DMV for plates. Just my .

looks like what happened to my bumper. Damage to paint was like yours so I just pocketed the 700 their insurance paid me, but I know your more anal then me.

Did you modify your rear lights in anyway? Tinted or put LEDs in them? Have someone help you check the rear brake bulbs and the high mounted brake light too cause I would be a little worried if I got bumped twice in a few months like you have.

I'm not sure what it is about these cars, but mine has been rear ended 4 times in 10 years! Two of the times I was sitting at either a stop light or stop sign. I have only been rear ended once in another car and have been driving for 24 years. What gives???

incidents of rear-ending will probably go up as more drivers will be distracted with an increase in in-car electronics and portable devices.

both of mine I was at stop lights and it was raining both times.
First one was a kid who just got his license.
2nd one was a younger girl that probably has not had her license very long either.

My insurance said hers is going to take care of it.
I feel kinda bad because she was saying something like now she's not going to have a license and her grandmother is going to be pissed.

So I assume the car was just recently bought in grandma's name.
She had SC temp plates/tags

What am I suppose to do ,foot her bill.
Kindness only goes so far.
Pay me my monnnnnnnney.

That camaro must of been too fast for her own good.

Also I would've soaked that thing down on her with my slipping trans and still come out with the victory.

Yea just enough for some paint, is not bad.

I just got back from getting priced up.
They priced it just over a $1000.
Last time it was just over $600 at the same shop.
At least this time I get a new bumper cover.
I'm also getting the trunk repainted too while it's there.
My hood damage from the center caps might stay for now depending on how much more he will say to fix it.
Plus I have thoughts of getting a cf hood breathing down the back of my neck.

I thought you just got your trunk repainted?

Why not just paint the whole car a sporty color since your starting to do the performance theme?

That happened about a year ago. High School kid in F350 with heavy duty brush guard (rt.in avatar) got me. CLS6 (127K miles) was totaled. NO damage to truck!!
Bought an 04, 325ci5. Drove that for less than a year. Found another '03 CLS6 (89K miles). Dumped the BMW and never looked back.

This is the CLS6 that Nspec_ya4 is parting out. Kinda like seeing your kid on the table as an organ doner!!

In my life (so far) I have owned 26 cars, including a Porsche & BMW (as well as 6, in addition to the two CLS6s, Acuras). The '03 CLS6 is the absolute BEST, overall, car I have ever owned....including my '62 Plymouth Valient (2 door hardtop w/ Hurst 3spd) !

I can definately see the CL being better then a 325ci. But the character in the 912....

What made you get rid of it?

My father restored a '66 912 and sold it to me in 1982. He replaced the front pan, because the previous owner did not take care and secure the battery. The battery tended to spill its acid, and thus, rust would eat away the front pan metal. That pan portion was removed and replaced only because the pan from the passenger compartment back seemed to be free of rust. Unfortunately, the cancer was there and reared its ugly head again and I had to get rid of it when the pan under the pedal assembly started to rust through.

That was one hell of a fun car! It had four wheel disc brakes and handled like a dream. I removed the Solex carbs and bought two dual Weber 40ida's as soon as I purchased it from my father. Boy what an improvement those carbs made in the performance of that air cooled four cylinder. The 1600cc stock cylinders and pistons were replaced to increase displacement to around 1700 to 1750cc's, IIRC. Listening to that German four banger rev. was almost as sweet as the whine of a S/c'er.

I believe so, my father also rebuilt them as well and got them to run decent. However, they were of a smaller inner diameter and tended to bog the increased displacement of the engine when you got on it. Either that and/or they were just toast even with the rebuild. Varnish/crud, bad jets and such. One duel carb. set-up for each cylinder bank. One carb per cylinder. That was the best $300 (for the Weber's) I spent on that car. What a little rocket!
