Is you body flexing?

I just started noticing a couple of months ago that when I go up a driveway at an angle so that each wheel hits the ramp at a different time, I hear noise from the rubber seal around the door. Its like either the door or the door frame are changing shape ever so slightly and the rubber seal move against it. I have 31000 miles.

I haven't really noticed that on mine but I only have half the miles of yours. I think a slight amount of flex is normal. Even so, these cars have pretty stiff chassis.

How about this- when I have one corner of my Mustang jacked up, I have a hard time closing or opening the doors because of all the flex and that's even with aftermarket sub-frame connectors welded in to stiffen things up. The CL seems carved out of rock compared to it!

I notice this too. my sunroof, particularly, complains when I load up one corner at a time in the drive way.

sounds like a tightening here, a tweak there should solve the problem...most of the time, if it's a door prob, the seals aren't what they used to b, and that can b caused by a slightly loose hinge or the rubber has worn out some...as far as the sunroof goes, my rubber seals were so worn in my old G20, it caused a major leak throughout my ceiling before Infiniti decided to fix it...the rubber no longer fit snug against the roof, and a gap formed so that when u hit bumps and stuff, the seal rubbed against the roof and made squeaks.

bottom line, next time u service the car, have them check all rubber seals in the doors and sunroof for excessive wear and tear...not sure if warranty covers them (hopefully they are)...after 31,000 miles on the car, the rubber is definitely in the ballpark area of being worn out some depending on the climate u live in.
