Wow, that would explain the Aegean Blue listed on the '01 color sheet. When I was at the dealer last week, I happened to look at the 2001 CL color book, while I waited for the salesman. To my surprise, at the bottom of the sheet was Aegean Blue, with ebony interior, listed for the Type S. When I asked the salesman about it he said that he thought someone had inadvertently put the '02 colors in the book. He said they were expecting the 2002 CLs around June. Of course, I took that info with a grain of salt, considering the source.

As my optometrist would say..
Monterey Blue (dark blue) is "about the same" as black in terms of cleaning

even though aegean is slightly lighter
than monterrey, I don't think i will make a difference

Now I don't feel so bad, I like the silver better! I don't like the way the silver window trim clashes with the blue. Maybe black trim?

I can't tell from the side picture, but is the side mirror body a solid blue instead of the two-tone deal that I've seen so far on the new CL's? Don't know why, but I just don't like those black "wings" on the lower half of the mirrors on the non-black CL's. I like the new TL mirrors with the solid color.

I'm glad I got silver, since it now seems blue is the color choice meaning every new cl-s will be blue! And, judging by the sounds of the responses to this post, you guys would all be drivin' blue cl-s'. where's the individuality in that?

Yeah, but how many silver cars are out there......all the same silver too...at least blue cars tend to vary, but since no one likes black or white because of the clean-up, and trendy colors like purple, green and PDG tend to turn people off...silver is the choice of most new cars.

I need more info on this color. Is it a 2001 and is it readily available, or do I need a special password? No dealers around here have even heard about the new color.

Thanks

No one likes white, because of the cleanup? Huh?! Nup. Sorry but white is the easiest to keep clean. No swirls and always looks bright, bright. White is easy to have looking clean as long as your not into baja runs. I'd snap up the blue in a second if I could though.
