Year 2000... 10 years later, is anyone else still here?
Purchased car in April 2000; 10 years later still have the car and it's running great! I registered on A-CL.com around February 2000 but it says October for some reason ![what](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/what.gif)
Anyway... any other old school members still on here? I still use my 01 CL as a daily and it still runs great... definitely a keeper for all time.

Yea those were some class guys. Jens pretty much wrote the book on our cars, and StreetEffectz did some crafty work! Sad but I guess everyone moves on eventually.
And the mystery mod??!!! Was that the RES or something? Wow that really came back from the dead.

Hey all... been on here since 2003 and currently on my second CL... first was a 2001 CLS (the red one pictured and in my album) and am now driving an anthracite CLS6.
My current CLS6 will be complete very soon and I will post pictures. The CL has been a great car and I still just dont tire of it... I dont know how that can be but I still honestly look forward to driving it everytime I get behind the wheel.
Great to see all the long time owners still enjoying this amazing car.... I have already decided that it will never be worth it to sell it.
Does anyone else feel glad they weathered the urges to move over to a 350Z/G35 a few years ago and now feel more privileged that they drive a rarer, arguably better built machine?
But damn, the new 5.0L Mustang GT is tempting...

Bought a 2000 TL in December of 1999 and joined here sometime not long after that. Just sold it a few months ago, but in 2005 I bought a 2003 CL-S which I still have.

Back to a MT!
been here for a while, got my first 6sp in 2003 and got one with navi in 2004 and had it since. Really like the car, keeping it for the long haul but added a truck for a little different flavor and hauling capabilities.

Bought a Black 2001 CLS in May 2000. Traded it in for a Anthracite 2003 CLS 6sp in Jan 2003. Still have the 2003 CLS 6sp... almost at 125k miles. But I didn't join acurazine until Feb 2003... :-p

It's been my daily driver and now has almost 125k miles on it. And it's paint is not so good anymore... some door dingers and parking lot scratches...
And I've gotten lazy and don't wash it much anymore... :-P
So it doesn't look so good now. :-(
But i'm sure if I break out my detailing products, wash and detail it, it will look almost as good as it did before.

I've seriously contemplated the 08+ Accord 6 speed coupe, the NSX (97-02) and the S2K (AP2) and I ended up with the CL-6, with not an ounce of regret, best car for the money and nothing can match the combination of tranny, power (with a blower of course) and comfort as the CL, not to mention the best interior of this decade.
VIVA LA CL!!!!

but then again with a car payment , you would only have an otherwise stock car, and can't reallly complain cause if you are short money one month, you can just stop modding for a little bit, then do it when you got more money (aka no bank is owed a set amount each month)

Bought my 2001 CL-S in Sep. 2000 and its still my daily driver. On its 4'th
transmission with just over 150,000 km and she's feeling her age! All the repairs
listed below were done in the past 3 weeks.
transmission with just over 150,000 km and she's feeling her age! All the repairs
listed below were done in the past 3 weeks.
- brake lines replaced (were corroded out and leaking)
- power steering return line replaced (corrosion again, was leaking) found
out Acura doesn't make that part anymore, it had to be fabricated - gas tank had to be replaced (corrosion again, a seam was leaking). That
was a bear of a job! The tank is tucked up above the rear end cradle and
those bolts did NOT want to be removed. - OEM battery replaced and terminals rewired (corrosion again).
