From what I can see, price is different, but is there more?

Got my headers and at first glance they look pretty good. That was until I did some dremel work to remove some burs and clean up some of the high spots in the ports. That's when I noticed there are some gaps between where the header plate and the pipes are welded. Not the best welding I've seen. The issue here is that these gaps can cause 2 problems. The first is its a weak spot that could result in a crack if that spot is under any stress from flexing. The second is similar in that those point will result in hot spots within the header, and that too can create a weak spot.
I guess for the price I shouldn't expect less, but I will clean them up some more and apply some metal bonding sealer to fill in those voids. Once that's done I'll have them ceramic coated, which will also help strengthen the welds and joint. Hopefully that will be that and it'll be trouble free for many a years.
IMO, anyone buying these headers, or any header inspects the insides of every welded joint or facing and see if you have gaps. My recommedation is to have them filled. I'm using Cargo ThermoSteel which I got at Autozone. I also looked at Permatex® Liquid Metal Filler, but the ThermoSteel sounded like a better product for this application.
I hope my headers are not the norm, but just incase, heads up.
