yeah i asked this question a while ago. ssautochrome has em cheaper than the xs website. im just wondering if they're selling the new and improved version for that cheap

 

I'm going to buy it. I'll tell you guys what I get. Hopefully, I'll get the new type of headers with the bend.

SS Autochrome is XS Power, im quite certain theyd be the "new" version. I say "new" because its the same design as the original headers they were selling (pre-dual flex pipes), but my old set had a 2.5" collector. The new version theyre selling has a 2" or 2.25" collector per the picture posted in the other thread about these.

 

I hope so, but I have my doubts. Either way, no bend = cancel payment, so idc.

The most surprising thing is that they are $260 on xs-power site. That's a complete ripoff compared to this.

Are the sites really run by the same people?

 

They still advertise the 2.5" collector. That's kind of BS, but they are a BS company. But for that price, I'll get over the lack of e-mail response and website updates.

 

Yep. According to the domain registration, both are registered to Rich Lane out of Creedmore, NC, one to a PO Box (SS Autochrome), the other to a physical address. Same exact phone numbers too.

 

i contacted them and they emailed me that they are in stock despite baloon and before the site sayd 129.99 and when i aded the shipping it when to 166.37 now just 120 shiped they also sayd in email that the headers where for 6 speed i hope people jump on this

 

i ordered from them back in june of last year and still havent seen shit . they dont have a # to call and they never wanna reply back .

Ive got a set similar to the P2R headers. Every time I asked Sean to build me a set, he was very hesitant to do so. Rush on here bought his old set, but for some reason no longer uses them.

 

Now they're $125 plus $35 shipping.

 

So.....if anyone actually wants to get headers, I still have my old XS headers - the set with the 2.5" collector. Bonus! It comes with a full 2.5" exhaust......

 

I placed an order at the $160 price just now.. see if anything shows up now...

No, that's not cheap for headers from a company that doesn't respond to emails, who MIGHT ship you headers, or maybe they just won't ship you anything. A year later, and your out $240 with nothing to show for it.

These headers aren't good quality headers. Their collectors aren't even 2" in diameter. The only reason these headers were in demand, was because of the price and the 6-speed bend.

everyone pays for something they thought was better or never even got. it sux yours had to be headers, but maybe it's for a reason. maybe if u installed them u would have hated them to begin with who knows. just get a different brand

They originally charged $130 shipped for these headers. They are now charging $260. That means they are making over 100% profit. That effectively proves that they are NOT cheap enough for them to ignore customers. However, even if they were, that would not be an excuse for their lack of service.

Yes, in life these things happen. Maybe when someone rips you off, you just keel over and say "oh well, shit happens." But most of us would attempt to get a refund and tell others about the problem. The point of a community of consumers is to weed out the unprofessional and bad service.

I personally think they are making a decent profit even at 130 shipped. The declared value on the customs forms that were on my box was $30. Pretty crazy.

 

Yea, they were made in China for pennies on the dollar. There was definitely a profit there.
