They don't make them anymore, the only way to find them is used from a member on here pretty much

Sadly no. Just keep an eye out for some used headers for the 6MTs.

Shouldnt it increase braking power when you stomp on the brakes anyway??

Does DC Sports still not make them? model #hhc5528. Whhen i looked at them when comptechs thousand dollar set netted 30hp, the dc netted 20 but they sold for 500. this was back in 03. DC Sports still shows them on site. Only come in ceramic.

Email XS Power and tell them you want to buy headers. They could have stock.

XS headers have been out of stock for a loooong time.

And as Nersh said, the DC headers are auto only.

You may be able to try your luck on some of those eBay brands but they may not last long.

I doubt without modifying it. If you want to go that route just buy a set of cl/tl auto headers and just have a shop custom add that bend you need to the rear section.

04+ doesnt use the same headers as us. They have a different head design with the collector built into the head and pre-cats as downpipes.

The only headers that fit the 6MT CL are headers that are made for the 6MT CL.

Sold the set of XS I had for 2x what I paid. Nice headers and yet so many talked trash about them. Then again, it was only the people that had paid 10x more for Comptech headers and the sponsors selling competitors headers that ever talked shit about them.

Owners talk shit about them too, particularly the thin materials, shoddy welding and flimsy flex pipe.

<-- XS owner.

I don't have them, but i've read up on plenty of posts on here of owners complaining of rattling, shitty welds, etc.

I never had a rattle or leaks. The only complaint (and a mild one) I had was the resonance at 2500 rpms. Other than that 30 hp for $110 is fucking incredible (and I refuse to apologize for my language)... lol!

I like mine for the most part, but after nearly 70k miles the front header has a crack and the flex pipe leaks.

Werd. Hard to complain about all those things with the extra $1000 in your pocket. What do you expect from a $99 header?

Probably not enough people "down" for him to go through the trouble of even considering this. Even if you did find a few people, they probably don't want to pay his prices for headers.

The current CL demographic honestly can't support new products so older products like XS headers get phased out and aren't made anymore because they were no longer profitable.

Good luck.

I don't see what would be so hard about just grinding/welding the flange on some auto headers to clear the 6-Speed's?

I'm not expert when it comes to exhaust work, but I agree with you, I imagine it would be a doable task for a competent shop.

What you'd pay to have someone modify a pair of DCs to fit a 6-speed you'd be able to buy a pair of Comptech.
