Put it in the front window, back window, or above the sunglass tray.

Yea, I have my Nav antenna right in the middle of the windshield...there is a black plastic piece in the center which makes a perfect spot since the antenna's are so little.

Be careful mounting it in the rear if your windows are tinted, the tint can screw up the reception!

I thought about mounting it up front but it will affect the reception when you turn the defrost on?

Tint and glass can decrease reception.

Don't forget to connect to the aux connector and not use the fm modulator from the xm commander. Why change a digital signal to fm,, that's like changing your cd to tape. It's the biggest rip the sterio shops do to people.

GOOD CALL-

Get a blitzsafe adapter or something that can direct connect. Don't use an FM modulator, the sound is not very good and you can't get the volume very loud... and the tape adapter doesn't have the sound quality-

Glass hasn't been an issue with reception at all!

And to answer your question, no the defrost doesn't affect the reception either!

I have my Sirius antenna velcroed to my rear deck right behind the third brake light. My reception is perfect and hardly cuts out. And the defroster doesnt decrease the reception at all
