Xenon for DRL

I've seen conversion for some cars that uses 9005/9006 forgot which one, but pretty sure its was the one same as the high beams of our car... just wondering if you had extra petty cash... would anyone here consider of having HID for the highbeams? If anyone is interest, let me know and i can find the makers of those lights for ya...

lets hear your input in this

Agreed....

Not only that.. but I think you'd blow the HID bulb or something. When you use your highbeams it's only for short periods... so you're constantly turning them on and off. By the time the bulb warms up you'd be flipping it off... then back on again... I'm sure that's not good for the bulb. If it was that easy... then cars would come with HID highbeams....

Yes.. but those cars don't have seperate HIDs... they have reflectors which redirect the light of the low beam HIDs and act as high beams.

I could be wrong, and if I am... correct me, but I haven't heard of any cars using and actual HID bulb with Ballast setup for highbeams.....

perhaps he's talking about what many of us already have...the Xenon bulbs PIAA/Polarg/OptiBlue put out

i mean he puts in the subject "Xenon," which these bulbs r, but in the body of the text he talks about the HID conversion kit...so im not sure...prob the whole kit...haven't a couple 1st gen's done the HID conversion kit???

in addition, since our Xenon bulbs are about as bright as yer gonna get, how much extra light r u really gonna get from the same bulbs???

our high beams are pretty bright already, they are pretty much canopy lights. Your not really going to have them on especially for looks since you normally dont use ur brights when your close to other cars. Change the road lamps/wannabe fog lights to xenon dont bother with the high beams.
