Did you all get the recent email from acura about their timeline? Where are the CL's? Are they just trying to forget about this segment? we are nowhere to be seen...

No offense to anyone or any owner.
Being the cousin of an Acura dealership owner,
CL is pretty much the most unprofitable model Acura ever offered, in a way...its kinda like the worst subject in school to Honda.

That's crazy, most of the mechanicals were shared with the TL for the 01-03.
They had to sell way less Vigors, not to mention that first SUV, was it the SLX?
There were quite a few 97-01 CLs sold as fas as I know.
Even if it's a loss, most of the competition has a coupe in this segment.
Well maybe not Lexus, that turtle is $60k.

No... it said in 1998 the 3.2 TLs DEBUTS with a 200 hp 3.2 engine. The 3.2 liter 200 hp engine was available from 96-98. If it was available prior to 98 it cannot debut. Read it very carefully.

They are obviously talking about the new motor, they just messed up the numbers. The 2G TL came out in 1998.

Also, hasn't Google been public longer than 2004? It says on the TimeLine that Google went public in 2004.
Edit: yep @ 225.

I have to say I think the CL is the tightest car Acura has made (Not bieng biased just casue I drive one), and to not include it on their timeline is .....well.....it's just blaspheme. Granted the tranny sux ass it is still a very unique car due to the limited numbers produced.

I think us CL'ers are the bastard stepchild they'd rather forget.
Make way for the RSX. Companies spend millions for product and name recognition. The Integra had it. Then Acura decides to move it to the "lettered" line as RSX? It's now fallen off the radar and is doomed as well.

I'm a previous 1995 Legend coupe owner, 6 speed 240 HP, man I wish that car was still around. The Legend had the Type II engine and started to come out with 240 HP in 93, even the way the doors closed on that car was cool as hell, the rear windows went down, it was just the best car produced other than the NSX IMO

Love My CL
I dont know about anyone else...but the ACURA CL....is one of the best cars. Easy to fix...most of the times.....great ride, good steering, comfortable, smooth looking, and can take off if its hooked up. I had Rodeo, saturn, ford mercury, and thunderbird. They all had less pros than Acura CL . Mine is a 98 3.0.......
