WTF......570 for (only) Comptech Springs installed?????
I never had springs installed at the dealer but that seems really high to me. I already have the springs, I just wanted them to install them.
I think Ardmore Acura is trying to
me.
What's a good price to have springs installed and at what dealer?

p.s he does this as a side job..

I'll share some of the stuff that I learned from researching and going through the process of replacing my springs and shocks:
1. Most of the cost for the install is labor (I was told by just about everyone that I talked to that it takes a full day to do the job right).
2. Find a place that has a package price rather than simply taking the estimated number of labor hours times their hourly rate.
3. Because they have to do the same labor (taking the car apart, etc) for doing either the shocks or the springs, consider doing both at the same time (to save money).
4. Beware of places that come with too low of an estimate--remember that phrase "you get what you pay for". Unless its a friend that you really trust to take apart your car and put it back together, I'd be suspicious of a low-ball offer.
5. Make sure that you drive the car before paying the final balance. I had to have them tighten things front and back when I went to pick it up.
6. Apparently the rear is also a bitch for the mechanic (the guy who worked on my car had bloody knuckles) because of the proximity of different suspension components and the (brain fart--cant think of the name) bar.
7. My dealer service rep strongly recommended a honda shop over the dealer because of the cost.
hope this helps
