wrx or Cl type S with Headers
This guy at work thinks he can take on my CL type S, he has a wrx, he is a dits dont think he has any skills with the stick but i'm up too it, i think i can have him 1 to 1 1/2 car behind me, beside wrx quater mile is according to edmunds.com The Subaru fell behind with a 6.3-second 0-to-60 and a quarter-mile of 15 seconds at 90.4 mph. i might be able to push 14.2 at 98 like most people with headers, i mean i C and feel it everyday some 1 wants to race me, how i leave them in dust, i feel like i should hand this guy his ass what you guys think?
come on man, this is a cl S, you guys are forgetting we are a beast too, just a little heavy and i got crazzzzzzy grippy tires. its all Hp to the wheels, by the way how do u like your tranny cooler, which one do u have, what kind of difference do u feel with it.
i was killing a bone stock wrx in the 1/8 mi. drags. elevation was like 3200ft. and it was approx 95 degrees, very low humidity. i was running 9.80's and he couldn't do better than 10.xx.
he probably sucked at launching
that same day i was losing to a modded impreza with nitrous, the bodystyle before the wrx. he was pulling like 1.6 60' times and killing me off the line, but at the 1/8 mi. i was pulling on him hard. if it would have gone 1/4 i would have had him by like 4-5 cars.

don't plan on running a 14.2 w/ the 19's on.
there are actually only a few people to run that fast. and most have more mods than you.
but you should go to the track, thats the only way to find out.

you race him from a stop your dead, if you race from a roll you got him. i've beaten my friends wrx with intake once from a stop and i had the perfect launch, this is 0-60 i'm talking, anything above that i kill him
A friend of mine has a WRX and stock vs. stock, my CL-S hung pretty well. He would get the jump off the line, but by 60 we were close to even and anything after that, I was able to pull on him. From a roll, I was able to get a nose in front. BUT....he tossed a couple of G's at the car and got a Vishnu (sp?) Stage 3 kit (upgraded exhaust, downpipe, removed cats, upgraded chip, intake). The car now runs 16lbs of boost and is FAST!! I'm not even going to bother running him now. I wouldn't trade my CL for one, but it is a fun car to drive
hahahaha...
With your 19's and subs in, you're not running anywhere NEAR 14.2. I'd be amazed if you even ran a 14.6 at the track. Go to the track and tell us what you got... probably closer to 15's than low 14's..
numbaonestunna,
I hear you there.. sometimes is just hard to decide what I want out of my car.. I know it a luxo.. so I dropped a few G's for looks, but then I want to go faster, so I dropped another few G's for speed. In the end, I think the looks cancelled out the Go, so I guess I should have save the money and went for looks all the way...
I think it's time for me to go build another bucket that runs low 13's again... I miss those days of "All Go"..

good to see...
another sane member on this board! People don't seem to realize that 2 12" woofers, 19" wheels, on a 3400 pound car don't contribute to speed! Your car must look good though, if u spent a few G's on looks...

figure this our car weighs 3460 dry....subs 100lbs, amp..10 lbs, rims, extra 50 lbs, gas, and person our car is almost up to 3800, plus the tools, hockey shit, clothes, and shit i have in my car it weighs about 4k now
my hagans, with tires are lighter than stock heavy ass rims by the way, since i got these wheels car stops better and i dont have wrapped brake rotors, thats the remedy guys just get lighter rims and u wont have wrapped rotors.
WRX is all about launch. If tehy get their launches down then they should run low 14s. I beat my friend all night long, he'd get the jump on me but once in 2nd and 3rd I'd just pull on him. Stock for stock I beat his car completely.
It'd be REALLY hard for me to believe that an AutoCLS with headers can run 14.2 ... it's not as easy to do as you might think... I've seen CLS Autos with I/H/E run 14.6s and 14.5s on average... You'd have to be doing really well to run a 14.2 is all... it's definetely possible just hard...
