Wow, just installed my Tein Coilovers!

Theis things are freaking amazing. Rides just like stock but slamed! i took a turn going 90 when i could only do it going 60! My friend with a BMW(330ic) is gonna buy coilovers just because of my car. Any one thinking of getting them, i would highly recomend them. I took some pics but i'm waiting for my friend to send them too me. As soon as i get them, i'll post them. It took me about 4-5 hours to put them in on a floor jack. Pretty easy though.

Told ya coilovers rock!

That's about as low as mine. Mine's 2.75" (it settled a little) in the front, 2.5" rear. I'm actually raising it a half inch when I get my camber kits and '03 taillights done (hopefully) on Friday because with a passenger on a bumpy road I can bottom out a little (meaning my tires hit the tops of the wheelwells). Once yours settle completely you'll probably want to raise a bit too unless you don't care about rubbing during aggressive driving.

Did you get an alignment yet? If not, you should have waited on the front camber kit until after the alignment.

Why? You mean to determine if it's necessary?

Well if all CLs camber the same with coilovers, he would most definitely need front camber kits if he's below 2" drop. My front camber is as bad as the rear plus with the added weight up front those tires wear even worse.

JRock,

I also have the Nex coilovers and have -1.9 camber all around except for the right front. My questions are which camber kits did you get for the front and rear, where, and how much? Thanks in advance.

I guess I was lucky cuz I dropped it at about 1.75 and I only need the rear camber.

Wow so weird how the camber is different for every CL.

I ordered from this group buy:

http://www.groupbuycenter.com/buy.asp?row_id=5301

I just sent him the money order on Friday for the 67320 and 67090 kits. He said they will work perfectly for the CL (I talked to him on the phone.) I just hope getting the 1.5-3.0 front camber kit is best - I was told by the shop I got the alignment at that my front camber was -1.7 but I wonder if both wheels were the same since yours weren't....

(edit - ah sweet I just read it more carefully and he said "the camber reading for front were -1.7 deg on both sides and -1.5 on the rear." Whew, I feel better now. )

Anyway I'll let you know how it all goes! They should be here this week and installed on Friday.

Thanks. If you want to wait another week (assuming the groupbuy is going on, I didn't check the ending date), I can let you know if/how they fit.

Thanks, that will be great. I hope they work well b/c the front camber kits are hard to find, so few manufacturer make them.

i was looking at the instructions to put in the camber kit. It looks easy but u need the right tools. I don't have a bottle jack to press in the new ball joints. Gonna have to go to my friends repair shop and get them press in. Now how are they gonna adjust them with the wheels on. you have to take the wheels off to adjust them. Any clues?

You're probably bottoming out your bump stops. I'd cut them down to about 1/4 inch thick and you'll be fine.

You do not need a bottle jack and you can use a wrench to adjust the arm to make it longer or shorter.

How so u get it out? Hit the freking thing with a hammer? There's no other way to do it. And are they gonna have to keep removing the wheel to adjust it is what i wanted to know

That is right, hammer the thing. And to adjust, you need to jack up the car and turn it with wrench from under the car. You need to leave the wheel on to see it it is straight.
