I didn't realize the armrest moved until I saw a review on the CL by Edmunds.com. At least a year after I bought the car.

Hey,

Better watch what you say about women drivers. Although, most are incredibly retarded. I like to think of myself as a hot chick racer girl. Just Kidding...what a bunch of men!!
I just picked up my 03 CL-S a month ago...I wish it came with a better Navi system..but that's why there are aftermarket products!
Does anyone know if I put a new system in, will it screw up my navigation/controls on my radio? I am assuming yes, just curious. :P
By the way, anybody had an issue with the paint (like acid rain damage)?

You guys talk about these features like they are god's gift to automibilia. My Taurus has automatic locks, which the CL-S doesnt ( ) and my girls old Alero had automatic unlock also. Plus, why the hell doesnt the 6 speed at least have traction control?

I knew all the tricks that were mentioned in here

I wonder how many people dont' know about the sunglasses case, or the notepad holder (for those without navi of course)? Or the ejection seat

Wow... I've been an owner for over 3 years and I never knew the passenger side mirror would tilt back up if you drive fast enough in reverse... pretty cool. I guess I never do much in reverse other than parallel park.

One other sorta trick but more of a nuisance, is that the auto reclining seats don't to go up or back if you don't have the car in park.

my '01 PDG came with acura sticky paper and pen. My '03 M/T didn't come with the paper and pen. post-it makes a sticky pad that fits in there perfectly, but I haven't found a pen that fits

Or how about the voice control stereo

when I first got my car, I had a bunch of friends riding with me, one friend brought his girlfriend along. He told her that the stereo had voice recognition controls. he'd say "next station" and I would change it with the steering wheel controls. he'd let her try. and I'd change it, along with our make believe "volume control" she totally bought it. i'd even not change the station unless her voice was perfect and make her repeat slower and louder so it would recognize her voice.

a few months later, they were in my car again and she was in the back and just started saying "next station... NEXT STATION!" we all just broke out laughing at her! she almost started crying! they totally broke up just because of that. she was soo fucken pissed.

This would be a good feature except it shuts off as soon as the passenger opens the door. Always gets me when I'm shutting the sunroof.

Oh yea, the interior dims according to a light sensor on the dashboard. So it would be barely visible during daytime and totally visible during night. Not really anything new, just wanted to point that out.

the mirror doesn't tilt when you back up quickly, it's when the left/right button for adjusting the mirror is in the middle position. I told that one to my car salesman... he didn't even know.
It's great when you parrallel park when you are not used to the car 'cause it's always a shame to hear those mags scrape against the sidewalk

most domestic crap has auto lock and unlock if the CL had this "feature" it would have been disconnected the day of purchase

I don't quite follow what you mean on this one?

I thought our interior lighting was adjustable with the little dial on the left hand side off the steering wheel.

When you turn on your headlights it dims all of the lights in the car assuming it is night time.

did anyone mention that if you lift the floor panel in the trunk, the plastic latch/handle will hook around the trunk seal that's next to the rear window. That way you don't have to hold it open with your head as you take your spare tire out.

oh ya, the heat works even if the A/C system is OFF.
I thought that was cool too. Fiddling with the knob yesterday when it was a bit chilly outside.

Read in the O/M its a good idea to run the a/c 10 minutes a week to keep it lubricated or something.

Does anyone use their home-link garage opener by the sunglasses holder?

You'd have to jack his remote, Cruz_msl.

And GINge -> Yep, I've got all three buttons programmed. Two for garage doors at my house, and the last one for a friend's apartment complex parking. Ghetto neighborhood, wouldn't wanna park my car on the street.

How about when the keys in the ignition in the on but not run position, try to push down the lock on the drivers door with it open, it just pops back up.

I just did that to my 8 year old, worked like a charm. Now he wants to get his friend to do it too

If it was Stick-Shift it didn’t have them.
They slid out from the center console and I guess someone determined that it was too close to the shifter for safety.
I looked at buying the cover for the AUTO to put into my 5-Speed, but changed my mind when I found out it was like 300-bucks.

I figured out the armrest pretty quickly (I was reading the manual), but I recently noticed that the 3rd brake light glows dimly when the trunk is open
