Wow... 3.5RL for $38,650

With the $3k factory-to-deal money back, the pricing on these (2004) is finally sounding a bit better. Too bad it's still a bit underpowered. =\

I love the interior though. Very nice.

damn its 38k for a 04 RL? Crap thats what my dad paid for an 2003.

Wish he waited then

If acura cant sell these at sticker, then why dont they just lower the sticker price on them? I bet more people would actually look at the car then.

Yes, they are very nice!! RL is one of the few cars Honda ship directly from Japan. Eveything else is assembled in America.

NSX, TSX and I think also the RSX are built in Japan.
MDX - Ontario
CL,TL - Ohio

New TL - I guess Ohio plant re-tooled? Dunno.

Btw, that pricing is what I can quote to Internet clients over the phone. So yeah, they really are trying to sell them. I think it's the most over-stocked car I've seen in a while. We probably still have every color twice-over in stock.

But really, talk about stretching a car out too long... 225hp non-VTEC just doesn't cut it. I'd love to get one and drop in a completely different engine. Like maybe a VQ45 or some other V8.

the car is really nice for 38k. The power is enough for me, its the handling that is horrible. Does comptech make sways for it? Maybe i can start modding my old mans RL

Slow selling RL is due to its low power and less than stellar body shape IMO. Acura needs to pump up those horses, upgrade that shape, add some 17" rims (and optional 18s?), and of course, RWD system and they will be selling like the Legends used to sell.

I think it still looks very good. However, it is lacking power and still using that 4 speed auto. It is Honda flagship and still not equipped with any kind of VTEC.

Having the 2004 ones appearing around may, I will anticipate a 2005 redesigned model early next year.

A flagship of a premium division is out-powered, out-handled and outdated by a cheaper model... No wonder they don't sell.

eh, my parents RL's is so soft. I hate, even they like their 93 legend better since it feels more connected to the road. It looks like they are probably going to ditch the RL for 540.

It's no big deal, because the new RL will be out in 05. A completely new design.
