without naming the car, here are the details:

its a 1997 model with 54,000 miles, 2 door, front wheel drive, black in perfect condition, aftermarket 18" rims with nitto tires, its modded and it runs consistant 12.777 @ 106....and that is WITHOUT any type of nitrous kit.

it hasnt had any type of weight reduction so the interior is still fully intact, has moonroof, factory 6 speaker stereo cd player, leather, etc.

the modifications have all been done professionally and the receipts are all available to prove prices of mods. there is no warranty on the car of any kind but it is in perfect working order. modifications include engine work, major suspension upgrades.


this car is available for sale for the asking price of $18,000 and can most likely be talked down to low 17's or high 16's

 

I think posting the make & model would generate more interest. All this specs don't mean much if it's a Pontiac

The Celica's of the era were slow as heck, so that's out. MX-6? Nawh. Prelude? Don't think they had factory leather.... DelSol VTEC, no moonroof.

What do you mean?? The drivetrain in the F-Bodies are stout and extremely powerful; enough to take on an NSX at about one third the price...

The GTP can run a stock CL-S (or better) for 20% less money and have more room.

But, when you get to interior refinement there is a discrepancy. So maybe you should better define your statements.

A stock GTP cost is 9 G's, plus the upgrades to get the car into 12's is another 3-4 G's, so thats about 13k all together. And the asking price is 18k.
So i dont think its a GTP...

whatever it is I wouldn't waste my money on it cause if its a 97 and its been consistently dragged in the 12's, I would say the car is beat, obviously out of warranty, and probably ready to explode.

I wouldn't mind knowing what it is (although I'm somewhat sure its a honda of some sort, either a prelude or a civic, possibly an accord, with a decent size turbo).

sorry guys for the delay, i wasnt on here this weekend. it is infact a pontiac grand prix GTP....the the car is actually in really awesome shape inside and out, has a full tranny upgrade and tranny cooler.....the guy has done some serious work on this car...check it out at www.12secondgp.com its a sweet as looking GTP...if i ever ran into money troubles, the first thing id do is sell my CL-S and grab a GTP like this and be happy knowing i can kill any CL-S
