235-40-19 ?, 40 series would be too tall, should be 235-35-19.
I don't even think they make 235-40-19 anyway.

19x8, should atleast have 45+ or higher.

DAMN!!

Looks like i'll be looking for some 18's! i just don't wanna sacrifice that smooth ride with the 35's...but i want the big rim look too tho.

if there is anyone in the MD area /w 19's...i would love to take a ride witcha to see how they ride! unfortunately, i'm not going to be around for the meet and U of MD next weekend. but pm me and we can meet-up somewhere one day...or today since i'm off!

thanks

I've had 40s and currently 35s.. trust me, you won't know the difference between the two.

Mantis is right, I have 19's and they ride about the same.

One thing I have to warn you is that even with my 235/35/19's it rubs like crazy in the rear. I have a 1.25" drop in the rear.

Good luck with ur choices.

Hmm, I have about a 3 inch drop, with a +50 offset, and I haven't rubbed once. Even with three people in the car.

so let me get this right...the more you drop the car, the less likely it will rub? that doesn't sound right to me. but i don't reall plan on dropping the car that low...may a little bit when i get the 19's(.5 - 1 inch) now when i get my Comptech's, is that automatically going to lower it abit?

i seen some 19x9 rims that i like...is that too wide for 235/35/19's? Is 19x8 the ideal size to go with?

btw, i seen a ssm cl-s at Tischer Acura in MD like an hour ago with the 19" Axis on them...not the Se7en's Soopa ...but i wondered if he was a member on here. i just wanted to see if i could take a ride to see how the rim's feel on the road?

What's your wheels' offset? You shouldn't be rubbing if it's higher than 45 with that drop.
