That was my experience in my short ownership of the CT springs.. thought I didn't officially test it out at the track....

they will help but i dont think its that big of a deal, traction at the track is the biggest issue

for example

when i went to the track in april w/o my eibach springs i was pullin consistent 2.2 60 foots

few days ago w/ the eibachs on i only managed 1 60' out of 22 runs, and it was a lame 2.29, hardly even a 2.2

Stickier tires would make a much bigger difference than the springs. CT springs are meant mostly for improved handling and don't help that much for traction in a straigth line.

Wouldn't there be better weight distribution? I know my braking is better.

I heard tah Drag radials would help more. Maybe you should look into those. there is some guy from NY selling a set on 16" TL rims.

all four corners cranked all the way up...the front it minimizes extension and the rear it lessens squating

What's the weight difference of running on empty and w/o the spare vs. running w/ a 3/4 full tank (as I usually do) and w/ the spare in the trunk???

Gasoline is about 6lbs/ gallon, and the spare & jack are probably about 50-60lbs would be my guess. So, if I assume correctly that 3/4 tank would be about 12 gallons of gas, and that the jack & spare weigh about 60lbs, that would put the difference at about 130lbs. That's at least a tenth in ET and probably a mph. The real difference is that the weight is in the rear, which is exactly where you don't want it in an already heavy fwd car.

that wouldnt be bad if all that weight was in the front but your gonna squat like a mother fucker at the line,

gut the trunk
gas light on
20-25psi in front and like 40-45 in the back

I noticed that by lowering the front below 30 PSI, I lose Trap speed maybe 1-2MPH Also, no matter what if I can keep spinning my front tires like all the way to redline in first gear, there is no improvement in ET times.

I think if you need to feather the GO pedal (after Brake torquing like 2 krpms) to get out of the hole, you are still not running the max of potential of the CLS-5AT!

I still love to do race on a drag radials where you hold it at 2krpms after being staged, Auto Count-down, Green light and 100% throttle till the 1/4 mile mark

I do not know how about that would be for the CLS

I tried all sorts of things two months ago at the track.. i got about 12 runs in until i got bored of running down the strip (i basically had the track to myself the whole day) ..

what it came down to was that I couldn't break 14.8 @95mph .. i think my tires are just shitty ... i have 30,000 hard miles on them... what are the stockies good for, 50,000 highway miles??
