Would anyone do this?

Would anyone here trade in their 01 CLS for a new 6 speed v6 accord with navigation?

Well if a person HAD to have a new car similar to the CL but in 6 speed form then yeah i could see in happening. It's a new generation car however the exterior may not a appeal to some.

Would I if I had an 01 CL?

Well I have navi in my CLS, but since the 6 speeds are so rare and the Accords seem to be faster than the auto CLs, would you trade it in for a 6 speed Accord?

I dont like the exterior styling on the accord, so I would probably not do that, I'd do some upgrades to the CL first.

But I have a 6speed CLS so I dont need to trade.

how do the interiors compare? I really like the new styling, but what about the interior. How do they compare? How much space does the Accord have and what about everything else inside?

Thanks

If I had a 2001 CLS I'd definitely trade for a new 2004 Accord EX V6 spd (even trade, no money out of pocket 'cept for TTL). Heck, I almost bought a 2003 Accord, but decide to get the 03 CLS 6spd instead.

IMO the new Accord looks VERY MUCH like the CL-S, looks to me like they took alot of the design elements from the CL and carried them over to the new Accord.

As far as I have seen the 03, 04 accord interior is nice, similar to that of the CLS. I wasn't inside the car but it looked just as roomy. I am referencing the sedan as opposed to the coupe.

The back of the car is the worst looking on any accord, but that is just how I feel.

vs.

Don't get me wrong, I like the look of the CL-S much more than the Accord... but the two are VERY similar.

^ Taillight design is nearly identical, the major changes come from moving the license plate from the bumper to the trunk hatch.

might as well just trade your 01 for a 03 CLS6. I think the new accords are nice but I still love the CLS better. I wouldn't trade my 03TLS for an accord sedan 6-speed with navi...but I might for a 04TL-6 w/navi

I had on 01 clS and bought an 03 six speed. I was working on my third transmission when I finally sold it several months after i bought the 03. I could see pending disaster with the auto when the warranty ran out, and besides, I liked the idea of more horsepower to the wheels with the 6 speed. I will say that between the two cars, the 01 felt like a more solid car than the 03, but it could have been my imagination. anyone else here think the 01 was/is sturdier than the 03? Love the supercharger on the 6spd. it added at least a 100% to the fun factor.

If I had an 01 CL-S I would rather try to find an 03 CL-S 6-speed than get an 04 Accord Coupe V6. And I'm not sure how close you all have looked at the Av6 coupe but up close it looks absolutely nothing like a CL. The rear is just this huge bulbous nasty ass and the lights are not even close to a CL's tail lights. The Accord coupe looks like a CL's cousing with a genetic disorder. You know they're family, but in the end they're still retarded and just don't look right. From almost every angle you see hints of the relation but the CL just pulls it off better than the accord style-wise. I've seen them with bodykits, lip spoilers, you name it... still doesn't look as sharp as the CL.

Heck my 03 CL-S was totaled and I test drove the Accord Coupe V6 and ended up getting a TSX instead.

the inside of the accord is roomy, but just not as that "luxury" feel as the CL, the Cl is much more plush (i guess thats the word) just more comfy and home feeling of a ride

Thats right its a nice car but not luxury, i have often seen a driver of a Accord coupe look over at the CL-S and wondered what there thinking.

Give the Chioce to trade my CLS for an 04 Accord. I would not trade.

On a sidenote I was looking at a brand new 04 CLK for $53000, did not even have a Cd player as standard. Makes you think we have all the options at nearly half the price.

we really do get a lot of options for our money with acura... kinda hard looking at other cars at twice the money without half the options that we have standard.

I think the TL-S seats were way more comfortable. So was the ride.

For some reason shellling out $25-27k for an... Accord - this would always hunt me. The other thing... after owning an 00 accord coupe v6 - I noticed their body styling is way raised in the end - BITCH TO PARK or whenever IN REVERSE, since it's just blocking 30-40% of your view. CLs are 'straight'... like a bullet ... with much visibility.

its not such a far fetched idea... honestly guys... an 01 CL...

if it was an 03 CLS six speed... NO WAY!!!

yeah i know it is literally a honda but the six speed (properly equiped, sport package) i think would be nicer than an 01 auto CLS

again, if its an 03 sixspeed... NO WAY

i seat that i sat in that's better than a cl-s so far has got to be the m3 seat of the 2003 generation. It's like a suction cup.

I would look for a CLS 6MT before ever considering an Accord.
