Worst vehicle you ever owned?

Just wondering what the worst vehicle you ever owned was?

Mine was an 2003 Nissan Xterra w/ the supercharger. I got like 12 mpg and it rode like crap. Had no power and only the drivers seat was confortable.

An '86 Escort.

I was delivering pizza in HS, shifted hard and the front driver's seat brackets broke. I wound up in the back seat and went off into a yard. No harm though and the fix was a couple of L-brakets away.

Never had what I would define as bad car, been pretty lucky on that front. But if I had to choose out the 4 ive owned I'd most likely say my current 99 CL.

None of my other cars allowed for so much road noise, and this car is starting to become a rattle box. Dont care for the driver seat that much either. But nothing really major...unless the rattles get worse...

1989 Chevy Z24. It would die cruising at 70 and not start again. Dumped it at 25K and never bought another American car after that. When I used to drive American cars, I thought water pumps were routine maintenance at 60K.

87 Thunderbird 3.8L...Completly rebuild motor/trans/rear/suspension
Dumbed like 4G's into it just to keep it running. Broke down on the way to Conn like 4 times and had to get it towed like 50 miles. Spend 3 weeks building the high performance motor for it including 4 angle valve job, p+p heads, air pump and a/c removal, gutted cat w/ staright thru to glasspack muffler...everything only to find out that 1 week after completion the trans took a shit. Then the rear started grinding...replaced the gears and seals/bearings. Then the front wheel bearings almost fell out of the car while driving. Then the heater core blew and everytime I put on the heat..antifreeze in the face. Had to remove the entire dash and shit to replace it. Then I decided i wanted the A/C back cause it was summer so I had to convert it to R134a and custom make brackets for the new motor. Literally on the roadtest after I installed it...a line blew ut of the firewall...pissing out ALL of the refrigerant I just charged it w/. It was a 87 t-bird w/ a 88 t-bird motor and a 86 Cougar oil pan. I ended up using a Napa allen key wrench for the oil pump shaft on the bottom of the distributor. Ohh I almost forgot...the 87 t-bird used the ignition box thats on the side of the distributor...but the 88 motor didn't...soo I had to custom make the distributor to fit in the new motor...pain in the ass. When it was all said and done...w/ the shift kit it the trans...I was smoking 5.0's in my 3.8...but sold it two months later for a 3G loss. Ohh well...live and learn

I've had pretty good luck, but I'd say it was my first car...'80 Prelude. I paid $1,000 for it in '89, and it was worth about $300-$400. I didn't care, cuz it had a power moonroof. It was burgundy, full of rust and dents, and it was a 2-speed auto. Brakes fell apart, driveshaft cracked, battery kept breaking away from the holddown, snapping a fuse which controlled my sunroof, and something else which I can't remember. Car was an absolute POS.

Best car...my '98 3.2 TL-P, followed closely by my '83 BMW 528e and my '01 CL-S.

Hey! There will be no bad mouthing of Preludes here! I loved my 2000 Prelude. Okay...there may have been a few improvements from 1980 to 2000.

Worst car....my 1983 reliant K. Loved it but it sucked. I only loved it because it was a family car and I got it when the owner could drive anymore and it meant freedom for me. Since it was highschool my parents paid for most of the fixes...like the head gasket going. :P It changed it's own oil too. I love cars that do that...just let it drip out and keep topping it off.

I had some real cool Radio Shack 6x9 speakers in boxes in the back window. The stereo (Blaupunkt) was worth more than the car. They gave me floor mats in my Civic when I traded it in in 1996. I am lucky that I didn't have to pay them!

1980 Buick Century, Humped that thing across country 6 times back and forth to college.

Overheated on 5 of the 6 trips.
I discovered the secret on the last trip. Never turn the car off. Once you started driving for the day, you couldn't shut the car off.

Found in the owners manual

"This car will overheat on long trips, Unless you have installed the towing package"

I later discovered that the towing package installed a larger radiator and a termostat controlled fan.

12mpg unless I disconected the muffler then it would up it to 17mpg.
