This morning when i went to do my regular body check up, my cl-s was looking god after the car wash last night all smooth and silky. I start my dad by going to the mall, i park in go in for about 15 minutes and i come out....I froze completely at what i saw...(look below)

I was so pissed , i think it was caused by someone backing into the parking lot and scraping me

I went to the dealer and the body shop told me that i shold call insurance first. They told me it is 200-300 dollars for repair and labor and will take about 3-4 days to complete....they have to take the bumper off strip it and repaint and spray it again

Anyone have any other ideas....btw touch up forget it

BTW, same thing happened to my girlfriends civic. $300 repair. It would be very foolish to claim this on insurance (collision), especially if your deductible is $250 or more. You will pay that and more in the next 6 mos, let alon 3 yrs. It falls into the catagory of $hit happens. Take the bumper cover off yourself, and take it in. It should save you $100 or so.

You'd be crazy to submit this claim to insurance. If the most it will cost to repair, pay for it yourself since you'll have to pay the $200 deductible. It's likely your insurance will go up more than the $200 they will pay towards getting your car fixed. Even if your insurance doesn't go up immediately, it will be listed as a claim and will cost you more down the road. I've never submitted a claim less than $1,000.
