winshield replacement....

just got my winshield replaced today because it got it by a rock on the highway.

its rattling like crazy

any one ever experience this before, imma give em a call tommorw and see if they can fix it

I think it is supposed to take a couple days for the adhesive to really set. Especially with the cold. But I ain't too sure it's supposed to rattle.

SHouldn't rattle. When my wishield was replaced it wass fine, the car smelled like glue inside for a day, but thats about it. Is the mirror on good? DOn't really know what it could be besides a crappy job.

Usually it takes the adhesive to settle in, and in most cases, the sounds should be gone within a day or two. Don't quote me on that though.

hey darrin...my windshield also got cracked about 12" long. i was wondering what are those dots on the windshield. is it for the onstar? btw...how much u end up paying?

Mine didnt rattle, but, it did leak the first time it rained. My car was 3 months old at this point. Needless to say, I was pissed

it shouldn't rattle at all. There is no such thing as the adhesive taking a couple of days to settle in. That is one of those things that people have been saying for so long that i think the installers have actually started believing it.

After I got mine replaced I'm starting to hear wind noise......I'm taking it in to have them check the seals and trim around the windshield.....

arent they suppose to be stuck/tight on the there...I can left the rubber and move the trim piece a little..it has some give to it....I'm assuming this is the cause since the side with the wind noise is a little looser than the other.

the autobody shop that contracted my car out to a glass shop said to let sit until that night...

haha your pissed? You should see my problem. Water leakage like crazy......took it in for the third attempt......electrical system is fried basically.........replaced my windshield and guess what? I still didn't get my car back yet and it's been 2 weeks and two days
