Exclamation Windshield Wiper Arms.......

Fellow AZ'ers,

Can anyone help me in diagnosing my problem with my wipers.......it froze outside when I was at work, scrapped off windshield, let the window heat up, and put on my wipers.....wouldnt move at first, then they started. But the interesting thing is, that they have about 1-2" of play in them, so now when it rains, my wipers almost go iff of my windshield and slam down against my top vent! Give me some inquiry's about this........PLEASE!

Thanks,

Topher

I hope it's not the gears at the base of arm. The part that moves the blades. I used to own an RX-7-T and that happened to me. The more I tried to use them the worse it got, untill the gears were completly stripped and were no good then

Make sure the wiper arm's bolts are screwed in tightly. I think they can be adjusted at that connection.

...and yeah, should be moved to problems & fixes.

Yea, I noticed where I posted last night.....and I tried a new search, and came up something on the linkage inside might be off or broken! Anyone with this similar issue with a fix would be greatly appreciated!

I had to tighten down the bolt that holds the arm itself on once. Only the driver side wiper was moving until I did this.

Don't know if it means anything but there's my 2 cents.
