windshield washer fluid level light

I'm kinda annoyed by the light, one day it came on and I haven't put any fluid for about 2 weeks so it was on for that time, however I filled it up now and it stayed on.
couple questions....
1. how many liters is the washer tank?
2. is it supposed to be reset manually? (stupid question, but still)

You might not get much response to this question, as USA CL's don't have a windshield washer indicator light Only Canadian CL's have it....

edit: Here's my rant thread...

if you fill it up all the way and it still does not go off then you might have a broken sensor, its happens all the time on coolant level sensors on cars so it will happens on the washer fluid sensors to, i think the tanks are almost 2 gallons so that's what about 7 liters.

7 liters, eh? after the light came on, I poured a 4 liter jug in there and it was full. so I'm assuming there was still 3 liters of fluid left in there when the light came on and stayed on. must be the sensor then.

Would the computer scan reveal the error code that the sensor is cooked?

if i remember right they are that much but i never counted i just added, but i do know they are big. also for the sensors i don't know if its part of the body control module and they computer does not check the sensor, what you will see is open or closed, I'm guessing its open right now and when the body control module sees open its turns the light one, try getting a electrical diagram and testing it, if you do it right at the sensor you will see if everything else is good, usually i just short then wires together and see if the light goes out, if it does then its the sensors fault, but make sure to check the diagram before shorting to make sure that you can do that, it depends on the sensor.
