Windshield Replacement - any AZ suggestions?

Hi all,

Well, yesterday on the freeway I got nailed by a big rock...actually a couple. I got the 18-wheeler info, and will report to my insurance. But before I do that, anyone have suggestions which place would do a good job and if you had any suggestions what type of windshield to replace mine? Should I go OEM or one of these many other brands?

Nice spider crack, but near the passenger side. Another rock chipped the paint on my grill and I can tell it bounced off of the grill, straight up onto the "A" emblem and I see a tiny bend/chip where the rock bounced.

Sucks...

my brother got his g35 windshield replaced and there was a brand the guy recommended. it had a natural tint (very slight, a little darker than stock) that made it look pretty slick. but it's a little greenish in color, but not too bad. guy said it's better than the ppg and the other aftermarket brand. i might look into that one...other than that, i'll put the oem one on. will probably get this done sometime in january.

i'm getting my dash replaced since it's starting to peel away from the vents near the base of the windshield. i'm gonna ask the dealer if it would help them to have the windshield replaced. that way, maybe i can get them to do it. dash is on order right now, haven't heard from them in almost 2 weeks.

I'd rec keeping OEM glass, always put whats designed specifically for the car. I cant tell you from a dealer perspective we trust factory glass over aftermarket. If your using insurance company, most have windshield coverages under comprehensive. I have coverage with ZERO deduct. We find even though the glass made by aftermarket companies all fit the same, some of the quality isnt up to par. Also quick sidenote: most insurance companies will
give you the choice of using factory OEM equipment or aftermarket at no additional charge
