Windshield 1mm Chip, in field of view :(

I got a 1mm windshield chip in my field of view. If it was somewhere on the passenger side, then I would not fix.

However, It is PITA to see it all the time.

I went to a local auto glass shop and quoted me $35. I know that there are places that they claim then can fix it FREE.

I also visited a local peeep boys and they have a do-it-yourself kit for $10.

What do you think is the best way to fix this?

Thanks.

pay the $35 to a professional, its worth it, just check out other work they have done first if you can.

my windshield was chipped the day after i bought my CL-S. i had someone else fix it for $50 but it was just not good enough. the chip is more towards the middle but it is quite annoying when i see it. i don't feel like shelling out a few hundred to get the whole thing replaced. i figured, if i get a couple more chips then i will. i'd suggest getting it professionally done as well. you have a nice car and those 'FREE' services may not be good enough.

Whatever you do, get it dome immediately if not sooner. That chip will grow, and possibly come back with friends.
