Windsheield Wipers Going Crazy

Has anyone experienced the windshield wipers going way too fast!??! My windshield wipers have been replaced and are new to rule out that theory.... However my windshield wipers go so fast to the point where they hit the hood. I have a cl 01. Is there an easy fix like a regulator?!? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Is it possible that the springs holding the arms down are messed up?

sounds like the arm and/or linkage is messed up.

Do you have a penny in the power outlet that can cause shorts if there on the same circut.

It is the linkage. My ex's '03 TL did the same thing three weeks ago. wipers bang against hood and windshield trim at random. the linkage is 169 at the dealer. It can be had for much less at www.acuraoemparts.com. It is common for this to wear out. check it out.
