Anybody know of any places that do a good job with window tinting? Thanks for the help.

 

Where is PA? Location? I know a good guy in philly who did my car.

I know the BEST guy that does window tinting. He works out of NE philly at Grant and Bustleton. (if you know where that is) He did my car and did a fabulous job. Im not saying this because its my car but he did one of the best tint jobs i have EVER seen. His name is Rick Shuster and his number is 215-673-7932 and his pager number is
215-812-0190. He is VERY resonable too. Some guys offered over $200 for the job, he did mine for around $160. Trust me, this is the guy to go to.

I second that. Rick is an outstanding guy and he is an excellent tinter, using only the best tint, Llumar. Give him a call and he'll schedule something.

Pics of your car look good. How much of a tint did you get? The PennDot site says you can have a max of 30%. How long did it take for yours to get done? Window tint is one of the first things i want to get done. Thanks for the recommendation

Mr. Big Pimp, I like that, thats pretty funny . My tint is 15% Llumar, 100 %illegal. Cops gave me a hard time on my last car when I got stopped. But I think 30% just looks kinda cheezy because it does not really give you any privacy and still is illegal. The rule is you cant have anything below 70% on the front doors or the windshield. Install time was about 2 hours including smoking brakes and just general chit chat. Rick is a real good guy and entertaining as well so you wont mind I hope.
I think you will be ok to go with 15% because cops sometimes tend to look the other way if its a nice car.

Are you saying that the windshield tint is illegal or tint is illegal no matter where you put it. I was thinking to tint the sides and the back. Tinting the windshield might attract the attention of the cops....i don't need that

 

yes, tinting windshield will deffinetly get you into trouble so stay away from doing that. However the sides will get you into trouble as well because unless you are above 70%, you are illegal. You can tint the back quarter and rear window without any problems, however the doors is what can get you into trouble. If the cops cant see the driver inside then its illegal. However, you rarely will get stopped for just the tint. But, if you get pulled over for speeding or violation, some a.hole cop can give you a ticket for tint in addition to the other ticket.
