Window chrome piece

Window chrome piece

Has anyone painted them black? I'm thinking of painting that chrome piece by the windows black but what kind of paint would I use?

I have. I just used your typical primer and semi gloss black paint from Home Depot. (it looks closer to flat black, but not as rough)

Did you do them with them still on the car or did you take it out?

Left them on the car. Taped paper all around my car to protect from over spray. You can find a roll of big paper at Hone Depot as well as the blue tape.

Trimbrite T9005 tape from Amazon.com

2 rolls, came to about $18 shipped, looks great to this day, and can be peeled off whnever I want. I highly recommend it...made my ride look 10x better.

No problem - just thought I'd mention..this tape is designed for covering chrome trim, I didn't ghetto rig it.
