What price have you guys paid for replacement?
I got a quote for new glass installed $180 sounds pretty good to me.

I paid $190 a few years ago. Just be sure it's PPG glass.

 

Less the $250 is the normal rate for most any car. Anything more then $250 is too expensive.

 

Check with your insurance company . Most of the time its covered for free just tell them it's from road debris

 

I would not say most of the time. I've had 3 different car insurance companies (esurance, progressive, and unitrin) and none of them covered windshield replacement or repair without a deductible.

I believe some states require insurance companies to provide free of charge by law.
