I'd like to see how a CAI sounds, but dont want to spend $200 for a CT or AEM to find out. Will these style work the same between the auto & 6 speeds or no?

IT says it does...but I wouldnt waste the money on it... the filter is very small also...
I dont think any1 on the board has bought one of those. Unless you have around $40-50 to blow I'd go for it...but i really suggest the comptech icebox over anything....
and the auto and 6speed intakes are different, they arent interchangable....etc..
-it has the most gains
-less likely to affect the warranty, cause even acura dealerships sale the products
-you know your spending the money correctly and on a product worth it
But overall I say give it a shot! if you have the money!

I dont want to spend $250 on the CT intake. $60 is not that much of a loss if it doesnt work right. If Iwas to buy a nam brand CAI for my car specifically I would get the AEM anyways, which is still close to $200.
Who cares if its cheap or an imitation? I bought a ebay CAI for my Mustang ($40) and it is nearly identical, bend for bend, with the BBK CAI that goes for $150. I'd rather have $110 in my pocket than a sticker that flaunts it as a name brand. Plus the CT Icebox doesnt even look like a CAI, it looks stock. Some people like that I guess, but if I'm gonna do a CAI I at least want it to look cool.

It says the picture is the actual intake. The one in the picture won't fit. My neighbor bought one of those for his T-bird and it wasn't even close to the right one. He still hasn't gotten his money back.
Ok, so other than the CT all I can find is the AEM that has a part # for the 6 speed version. I have searched and have found that the Injen has fitment problems with the 6 speed.

Why spend the money on a near luxury sport car and then drop some POS intake into it?
And actually if that tube has not been dyno-tested and tested for air flow you might actually lose power.
There are sound clips out there of the AEM & Icebox. They do the SAME thing & get the SAME gains. The only difference is the AEM looks like a CAI & makes more noise. The Icebox looks stock & has a less agressive sound to it.
That cheap intake is a deal if it works. I'd say get it. Just confrim with the seller it fits the 6 speed & make sure you can get a refund if it doesn't fit. It's only $56 with shipping.
You could also take the resenator out of the stock setup, & you will get some gains. If you don't want to spend the $$ right now. That sounds close to a Icebox.

I was just trying to save a hundred bucks. Just because I spent $30k on a car doesnt mean I dont want to save money if I can and still mod it a little. Like I said before, I bought one very similar for my mustang and it worked perfect. I'm waiting for a reply from the seller about the fitment and if it doesnt work if I will get a refund.
Why exactly will it not work? Is a bend wrong? Is one of the tap in the wrong place?

well the intakes a different for automatics and manuals thats one.
and its suppose to help the engine breath better if it doesnt do that than iyour just going to end up losing HP than gaining... or may just gain a couple HP that wont be noticable...
Well I'm not trying to throw money away, so I'll wait until the seller emails me back. I found an AEM for $160 shipped, so if this doesnt pan out I guess I'll try that. Anyone got a detailed pic of the AEM, preferably in blue? Its hard to find pics of people's engine mods on here, and most are red x's if they were posted.
When it comes to intakes, anything is really possible. But unless you know what you are doing, I wouldn't mess with it. If the Mass Air Flow Sensor is even slightly out of angle, it can cause the entire car to drive like total trash.
I mean seriously, these are high end cars and you are going to throw cheap parts in it? Wow.
