Yes...just change the guts out from the old fob to the new fob.

Goto the info sticky and then ctrl F to find FCC...

If the number on the back is the same as the one in the thread, it'll work...

...Or just program it and see if it works if you can't read the numbers on the back... (ctrl F to find program in the info sticky).

Or just switch the guts out like GM said, if you're just looking for a new looking fob.

Yeah, so what did the thread that's linked in the info sticky say ??

I'm making it a point to NOT give you the answer... with close to 200 posts, you should know how to find things by now...

If you've got your remote and a flathead screw driver (or butter knife), you just put the screw driver in the slot (that's made for a screwdriver), to split it open, and then push the big button to get the guts out...

But he doesn't need to switch the guts

My fcc on the back of my fob is G8D-443H-A
The thread says

I looked it up before I posted the new fob #, I didn't understand the answer because of the extra number on my fob now, that is my real question, even though mine right now says 443H-a and the new one is 444H-A and the sticky says 44H-A will it work? The third number is confusing me, im sorry about the status on fcc id's, but I did search like you told me to

I was hoping that just between us 2 SMR owners you could do me a solid

Ahhh... I missed that.. I just assumed that the "extra" 4 was a typo... Now, it's 443H-A ??

My unused fob has 44H-A on the back...

There are references on ebay that say the 443H-A is for a 00-01 TL/CL

Program it, and see if it works... https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141058 (this thread is also in the info sticky).

I think this answered the question, im gonna get it and see if it works, if it doesn't... I guess i'll be switchin out the guts! I like the look of the new one though and really thought that other people would have them and someone would just say "Yes" and the thread would be done haha

Thanks to both of you Green Moderators for the help

That's the same number that's on the back of mine for an '03 CL-S. Should work if programmed properly.

Man, I could shoot myself for not even thinking about that. And here I am programmed a new fob when all I wanted was a newer looking one.

For some reason I think there is a difference between 01 and 02-03, don't ask me why but you saw what was on the back of my fob, anybody know for sure or has this really never been brought up?

Probably because it's just not a popular "everyday" mod.

Yeah, I got to drive both new the '07 TSX and TL and all day I was playing with that damn switchblade key. Not sure if I'd think it was such a big deal though. For now I'd just like a new Main Fob.

Yeah im not too into the switchblade either cause back in 02 my mom had a beetle that had one and I wasnt to into it, the effect wears off real quick, I just think that other fob looks better than my current one, and also my icons are rubbing off bad.

Sidenote, I just got my touch up pen with SMR on one side and Clear coat on the other, wow this thing is awesome, I want to order more just to keep on hand for any emergency! I guess since im the OP its ok if I pull a
