Will tint reduce trade in value?

I am considering getting my car tinted but I may be selling the car within the next year. I also may not...it depends on a number of things...I was wondering if I put charcoal 35 percent all around and 20 on the back will it hurt me come trade in time? Also...anyone have any recommended shops in the Nazareth,PA area---even west new jersey would work. I do not want dark black tint...I am looking for the mirrory/reflecty type charcoal tint. Not sure what the name of it is.
Thanks in advance..

if it helps, leasing companies do not depreciate the car if it's tinted.

as long as you don't get some cheap shit tint, that starts to bubble up you have nothing to worry about. Tint isn't negatively looked at on automobiles

You can always take it off, it's not hard.

I think its actually pretty easy to take off, i think you need to use steam. I'm not sure though, but i have heard that if you use hot steam on your windows it will put moisture between the window and tint and then you will be able to remove it

I think you’ll be fine with the tint.
I have traded several cars in with 35% and had no problem.

As for REMOVING tint, it’s not as easy as people make it seem.
A few years back I had to strip the 20% off the side windows of my Daytona Shelby-Z after getting busted.

Sure the tint comes off in about 10 seconds with one nice R---I---P, but after that you’re spending about an hour with the glass cleaner and a razor blade scraping all the glue off.

I can’t imagine doing a rear window with the defroster lines.
I guess you need to use ammonia and lots of towels because you obviously can’t scrape it.

As for a place near you........

Thermal Sun Screen on 14th street in Allentown is the place to go.
Call 610-434-8778
Ask for Fred
Tell him Shawn with the Blue Acura CL sent you.
He's also done my Red CL, 91 Legend and several other cars.

I would wait.
Why do you think he’s booked? Because he does lousy work .

I can’t recommend any others because I have been going there since I had my first car done way back in 1985.

PS… If your car has a wing on it, make sure you specify to tint over the rear brake light.
Remove the rear parcel shelf the day before so it can be done cleanly.
