TSX will deffinetly have it, prolly will share it with the RSX.

2001CL - the news about the TSX came several weeks ago. It was featured in the major automotive magazines (C&D, Motortrend, etc) Also I'm sure there is lots of information on the a-tl.com board.

 

If they do make a 6 speed TL-S, i'm pretty sure i'd trade my CL in for the TL. Four doors is soooo much nicer, and the back seat area of the TL is plentiful and yummy, much better than the accomodations in the CLS.

there will be a 04 tl for sure... the TSX is just there for the integera 4-door replacement.

I'll second that. Since the integera was replaced (in the usa) by the RSX, Acura lost a entry level 4 door. The TSX is the replacement for the entry level four door in the lineup. Acura is rumored to have a couple of new vehicles in the works other then the TSX too.

I hate reading about "killing the CLS". I know that CL sales are down (only 9000 YTD), but I think that Acura *needs* a sport coupe in their lineup. The addition of the 6spd should only help sales. A new redesign wouldn't hurt either. Just reading some of the posts on here, you can tell that people love their CLS's. It's something that a single guy like me will buy before they have to move to a 4 door (TL) or god forbid, a mini-van/suv. I'm too old for a RSX, and too poor for a Bmw 330 or //M3

I read on vtec.net that they are having a hard time keeping up w/ the current CLS 6spd demand. The sales manager from the dealership that I bought my CLS from said that it might be hard to locate a SMR 6spd w/ parchment because Acura dealers are only alloted 1 (one) 6spd a month. If they can't make 'em fast enough to keep 'em on the lot, why would they kill it.

Since the CL shares some parts w/ the Accord (and is probably built on the same production line), Acura can probably handle the low CL demand. As long as they make the Accord coupe, the CLS can ride the Accord's coattails, so to speak.

I think we'll be seeing some interesting things from Honda/Acura soon, and I hope that we'll see a redesigned CLS in the future.

why doesn't Acura release any of this information???...4-5 months after i got my CL the 6 spd. came out...now i'm about to go for the 6 spd...(but rather have a 6 spd. TL)...so to be safe i wanna check if there will be a 6 spd. TL...i just found out at the TL boards the TL-S will be redesigned for '04 and have 280HP if not more...hmmm...makes me wonder, i wonder what the new cL's would look like (if there is one)...i hope they're smaller and lighter...

I often wonder the same thing. Other car companies seem to create quite a "buzz" when the leak info about their new models (i.e. Mini Cooper, 350Z, G35C, etc, etc.). They get the buyers in a frenzy to get them on waiting lists. The early release of new models/redesigns info probably doesn't help the sales of the current years models, so that's probably the reason why Acura is so tight lipped about their future models.

It's almost like buying new electronic equiptment (computers, etc). Next years models are always faster, better, cheaper, with more available options/accessories

 

Most companies wait as long as possible to release new model info.
If Acura did a Press Release about a 300HP 4WD TL with 6-Speed manual coming out in March, how many of the current ones do you think they would sell over the next few months?
