Will this place work for my radar detector???

Will it work if I put it on the driver's side sun visor on the little fold on the far left (when you are looking straight out from your seat).
Will it be too high and blocked?

I am thinking of hardwiring it to that location but my current cord does not go that far.

Nope that's the perfect place. that's where I put mine. WHat I usually do is put it there then fold the visor down so the detector is looking straight out and not pointing to the ground. I know its behind the tint but my escort 8500 still detects cops from 5 miles away on highways. and when cops creep up around me I just push the visor up or just put my hand on the window and cover it w/ my left hand. (illegal in VA)

acutually the manual and website suggests that you mount the escort 8500 a few inches above the windshield wipers and away from any tint. Since the tint will obstruct the radar or laser signal.

I hang my escort 8500 right in the middle of the windshield to give me maximum radar reception.

wow! my escort detects x bands about 1/2 a mile away k and ka bands about 1/4 mile. LASER! well if you see it then you are dead because there is not prior warning...

If it is illegal, than I guess the visor is the perfect place....

Glad to know that it will work on the visor.... Good idea about flipping it down. I will have to play with it and see if it annoys me
