Will I ever get a brand new Car again?
For me, the answer to that question is "no" at least for now...my CLS was the first car I bought, shit...I paid 34k out the door. And now, the same car with low miles can be purchsed for 10 g's less!! This was the first car I ever purchased..so maybe I'm just frustrated right now, but I think the next car I do get will be at least 1-2 years old.....(maybe the G35 coupe???)

I think I'm in agreement here as well. Unless I happen to have a whole bunch of money burning a hole in my pocket my next car will be used. It is really sad watching your car payment and the value of the car drop so unevenly. It's hard just to keep up with the depreciation of the car. If a new CL comes out with all of the goodies we hope it will I'll wiat a year and then buy one for a dollar.
Honestly, I don't see how the Acura nameplate alone is not helping out car to retain value.

I paid 31K out the door in November of 2000.......I went to trade it in on a S2K and they said it was only worth 21-22.5K........I hate cars. I want to keep my CL and buy and old muscle car as a toy!!!!!!!

Wrong, I got my CLS when it first came out, I shopped around everywhere....trust me, 34k with navi/spoiler was a steal back in May(?) of 2000. and you're also looking at chicago area sales tax.

Buying new cars definitely have their advantages. You get to break the car in, not someone else. Sure, you might save a little by buying used, but after owning 2 used cars already, I wont go back. Too many problems to deal with. I know I wont, but to each his own.

I know but what you got hammered with is you got one of the 1st 2001's dealers are TERRIBLE about that. like if this fall you go to a Honda dealer and want a new Accord your gonna pay more than maybe a year or 2 down the road cause everyone wants them cause they're new out. I know it blows but it's part of getting one of the 1st new models.
what I'd get (if you want something cheap to bum around in) yet sporty is either a used Integra type R or Civic Si.but type Rs hold their resale value pretty well cause a limited number was built.(it's kinda of like the vette ZO6) just a idea man.
