It almost seems like we can use an Accord mirror. Not that there's are any quieter but if we can use accord mirrors, that gives us some aftermarket possibilities

what the hell is the difference? they look the same to me

 

the 02-03 are a bit smaller and sleeker looking, and have blue tinted glass which reduces glare.

 

if u use accord mirros you will loose the auto down, and the heated mirror feature. easier just to paint the black part on the mirror.

 

Why would we lose the autodown and heated feature? It seems that in internals are the same. Just use the shell of the Accord and the internals from the 01's. I'd think the switch that tells the mirror to go down is not on the mirror itself.

yeah, that would suck to lose those features, but the wind noise from the 01's is killing me.

I should just stop trying to be cheap and get the 03's. Anyone trading their silver 02/03 CLs in? a BMW dealer would never know if it came in with 01 mirrors. I'll swap tails (03) with ya too

 

LOL I just wanted them because I might be able to get a set and I was hoping to save myself the cost of painting my 01's =)

Had no clue about smaller/blue tint/wind noise ect heh
