why wont any audio place install a bass link in my car

called 3 places, 2 for sure said they wont install it on such a high end car cause they dont wanna screw up any electrical things going on, and the other place has to check with their manager monday to see if they can install in on my car.

geez its not like i have a 100k car here. u guys call yourselves professional audio installers and u wont install it on mine. WTF does it take to have it installed in my car.

dont they wanna make money. its like i have to own a escort or cavalier for them to install.

sorry felt like ranting cause i want this professionally installed and have had 3 places within the past 2 weeks turn me down.

That is ridiculous. It is just like any other amp/sub install. Nothing special at all! Its even easier than a regular amp/sub install. Lazy asses.

Well this place i been going to since 1996, great place. They used to be called Sound Experence, the manager there is named Mark. But last year he bought the shop and named it Mark's sound. Still the same staff and same products, but with cheaper pricing.

I would think the basslink can be installed for less than $75. Not sure if they sell the basslink though, but just buy it off ebay and bring it there for the install.

heres the address, i think its the same phone number.

Address:
285 S Roselle Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60193
Phone: (847) 352-6022

Man, I've done this install in my CL. It's extremly easy. the only thing I ran from the front of the car was the power cable, which came from the terminal through the firewall under the door sill, under the back seat, through the tirewell. I grounded it out in the trunk and used the supplied inline speaker leads spliced to the bose amp behind the right side of the trunk. Email me for detail instructions...It literally takes 45 minutes if you're technically inclined with basic trim/seat removal skills...

If you have the basslink installed are they required wires needed for the installation included in the price or would I need to get my own? I've never been clear on that. and typically how much do the wires needed for the installation cost?

you'll need a power and ground cable, but the unit comes with speaker inputs if you have to splice into a factory harness. Otherwise you'll also need a good patch cable. If you're using the patch cable (rca's), you'll need a remote turn-on lead as well. Usually you can pick up all of these in a good monster or rockford fosgate amp kit for about $45. I'm sure there are other brands for more/less bucks but these two brands work just fine.

AutoSound in Palatine will do it. Ask for Mike or Gary.

you gett he basslink yet. I can try and help you find one, but it matters if you want a warranty with it or not. I could find you the best price online, but it prob wont have a warranty. If you wanna buy from a retail store thats different.

I just called mark and asked him. He said he hasn't dealt to much with the basslink, but he quoted me about 90 bucks for install. He said it would matter were you want it placed and if you need a wire kit.

thats cool man. what do they usually run, like 200 bucks or something? i would pay the full 200 if it came with a warranty.

im not too in a hurry to get this as i have alot of things to take care of, but i will be buying one of these soon.

what places can u link me to for some prices?

thanks brian
