why is it so hard to find a 6speed??

I've been lookin to get a newer CL to upgrade from my 99 2.3 manual, and ive been searching all the damn used car websites and have found NOTHING ...like 6 speeds are completely extinct or something. searched within 50 miles of like 5 NY zipcodes, and even my penn state zipcode and still nothing . Maybe this car is just too enjoyable in 6 speed so noone wants to give it up?

I really love mine...but for the right price!!! Ya, When I went to trade my 6sp non navi for a navi one....I had to drive from WI to NY to trade it in...of course I only wanted a 6sp black on black navi. I had to go to all the dealers websites and search pics because no one can seem to actually get the details of the cars right. I would even search the auto tranny listings on Autotrader and look at pics. It took a month but thats what I had to do.....good luck..unless you have 20k for me!!!

5AT owners hate the tranny problems to keep the car.

6Speed drivers just love their cars that much more I guess.

Exactly.

Furthermore, only 2700 6spd models were ever made, in 2003 only.

Limited Production Run

Only 3511 actually made from the HohLake's research.

Some have met thier demise. Some have resold. The rest are being kept because we them!

You have to do a 300-500 mile search outside of NY - i'll tell you there are 2 which i have been eyeballin, blk/blk/navi
one in ohio ($19k) and one in Pennslyvania ($23k). There is also a guy from long island sellin his blk/blk no navi here in the blk market (stebbins, is the name i think for $19k). I'm pretty sure i saw anotherone at a qns dealer but it wasnt a Blk or white so i didnt give it a 2nd thought

They are out there, but like Mr. Slimey said, they aren't that many to begin with.

There are a few for sale in the Black Market here...

https://acurazine.com/forums/non-automotive-motorcycle-sales-9/

Here's one in NY...

** NY ** (posted on 5/07/05) https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-2003-6-speed-black-cl-type-s-306014/

PA (posted on 05/18/05) https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-03-cl-type-s-6-speed-navi-307065/

IL (posted on 5/07/05) https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-anthracite-2003-cl-s-6-speed-305835/

IN (posted on 04/04/05) https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/sale-2003-cls-6-speed-black-302307/

OH (posted on 04/08/05) https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/fs-black-black-03-cl-s-6mt-302796/

AZ (posted on 04/19/05) https://acurazine.com/forums/car-parts-sale-361/2003-6spd-cl-s-sale-303904/

AND that's just from a quick search here. That's not counting the ones listed on autotrader.com, cars.com and ebay.com

I swear that with the amount of time I put into looking at auto classifieds on the web (vette, porsche, other speciality cars) that I should start a Search and Location Service How does 5% of the transaction value, with a minimum of $1,000 per automobile represented sound ??
